We truly couldn't have done it without you.

We've had our ups and downs of course, such as COVID and Vietnam closing for 2 years. 🙄😫

Hello folks,

You may have already heard of the terrible situation in Northern Vietnam over the last few days because of the Super Typhoon Yagi.

We always try to help and we are asking if you could too. Please let Michael explain....

"Dear Simon,

There's only one thing I can say: Thank you.

When Typhoon Yagi hit last week, we knew it was bad. But since then, the devastation has grown - and as I write this, it's still getting worse.

In the midst of this developing crisis, the Blue Dragon community in Vietnam and around the world has responded with an immediate, heartfelt response. My colleagues and I are touched - truly touched - that you and so many others have given what you could right at the moment your help is most needed.

I want you to know that children and families are already receiving help because of your support.

As fast as donations come in, they're going to people who need them.

In parts of Hanoi, roads have become rivers.

People are already receiving your support.

Blue Dragon is out on the roads and rivers delivering food and supplies to those who have been harmed by the storms, floods and landslides. We're helping families rent rooms and homes where they are safe until the waters recede and their homes are rebuilt. And we're in constant contact with people who are just trying to get through the day.

Simon, thank you. Your donation has made a difference.

We're not through this yet. Rivers are still rising. We've evacuated the Blue Dragon centre in Hanoi and are hoping the waters don't reach our door - so far they haven't but the risk is very high.

In the coming days and weeks I'll stay in touch and you are most welcome to reach out at any time.

We have some tough days ahead, but we'll get through this together.

Typhoon Yagi is coming through to north Vietnam.

Our 10 guests from Australia have had their 2 night cruise cut short to 1 night unfortunately. Now frantically changing their flight to Danang today.

We suspect Halong Bay is closed from today 5th September 2024, but will update soon.
