The grilled glutinous banana dish from Vietnam has just been voted one of the top 9 desserts in the world by CNN in the US. This is a rustic dish that Westerners are very accustomed to.
The ingredients for this recipe are peeled porcelain bananas that have been washed in diluted salt water and marinated for 30 minutes with 2-3 tablespoons of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. After the sticky rice with coconut milk mixture is cooked, stretch out thinly, top it with bananas, roll it up in banana leaves, and bake. When the banana leaves are scorched, the sticky rice skin is crispy and golden, and the fragrance is pleasant.
