Thanks to those generous hearts who had donated school supplies and donations to Mystery island.
We shared some of the items to 4 remote schools on a neighbouring island called Tanna,famous for its active volcano.
We have shipped the donations on a cargo boat to the schools .Pictures will be taken while the teachers are sharing the donations and we will post them.

INFORMATION ABOUT Mystery Island FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS (not tours).pls read, it is very helpful
The ship uses tenders to bring you ashore. It takes about 5 minutes. There are two main beaches. The one to the right of the jetty and the other is on the other side of the island.
The one on the other side is protected by a reef and is a lagoon. Children enjoy the lagoon more. Please remember to bring sand buckets and spades and moulds for your little children.
There are nearly 40 market stalls in mamas markets. There is a kava bar and massage huts. The snorkelling off the beach is not the best but for people who have not seen coral and much fish before they think it is great. It is not. Tours take you by boat to the best places. There is a lot of shade.
The water temp is 26-28 degrees. When you walk off the jetty the markets and everything is too your right. There is one blue good toilet block. the others are long drops. Haggling over $1 or $2 at the markets is not part of the locals culture. They believe in a fair price. Haggling is for Bali not Mystery Island. If the dollar means that much to you then haggle. But as an example, an item they sell may cost them $3 and they may sell it for $5. If you try and haggle to $4 they will probably accept because they will not argue. But you have just halved their income. I will be honest, paying an extra dollar is pretty cheap for havng come to the ladies island home.
The island is about 1km long and 125 mtrs wide. But you have almost 2km of beach. Also, pool noodles fold very well into your suitcase. Many people bring them. I will buy them off you if you do not want to take them back. Just ask for Joseph. And the girls like the pool noodle chairs. Please think about bringing things that make you enjoy your day more and the children's day. Do not try and bring fruit ashore. The fine is $140. But you are allowed to bring prepackaged food like mooslie bars and energy bars or packets of biscuits. But please do not bring the ships food ashore.

There has not been any Malaria here for 12 years. Bring things for your children to play with is very important. Bring water. The people are kind, they are generous, they will rarely argue and staring someone in the eye is not part of the culture. It does not mean someone is rude. Also many of them know 4 languages. their own which is Aneityumese, Bislama, English and French. If someone does not seem to know some words please remember, they know most in 4 languages. This is amazing. And in their own language there actually are no words for please and thank you. It is not rude to not say thank you or to say please. Just because it exists in Engish does not make it right or them wrong. It just does not exist. So no one is being rude to you if they do not say it. You are all most welcome, you are respected and it is rare to find any passenger who is not kind. The people that visit on cruise ships are the kindest people. We could not ask for nicer people to visit. Please enjoy your day. You are very much welcome here. You will not see many elderly locals today. Remember, there is no hospital or doctor, If locals get old and you get sick they die.
There is not much food here for sale. So bring your snack packs and moosli bars with you. Do you have any questions ? If people want to know some history about the village and the school I can put that one up later for a little while. So let me know if you want that information.
