Moin Ihr Lieben,

heute gibt's ein bisschen was zu feiern... 1000 Menschen haben auf meiner Fotoseite den Daumen-Button geklickt. Und dafür bin ich 1000x dankbar, denn es macht mich ein bisschen stolz.

Es macht mich stolz, dass meine Bilder ankommen und es macht mich stolz, dass eine gewisse Entwicklung zu sehen ist, seit ich mich etwas ernster mit der Fotografie beschäftige.

Klar kann das hier auf Facebook alles noch viel schneller gehen, aber auf der Jagd nach Likes und Klicks geht das Wesentliche oft verloren. Und deswegen geht das hier alles schön langsam und organisch weiter seinen Gang.

Zur Feier des Anlasses zeige ich Euch mal ein Bild, das ich schon sehr lange auf meiner Wunschliste habe und dieses Mal auf Kreta endlich machen konnte:

Die Milchstraße in ihrer ganzen Pracht über den drei Felsen von Triopetra an der Südküste der Insel.

Mutterseelenallein stand ich da zwischen 2 und 4 Uhr am Strand und hörte dem Rauschen der Wellen zu.

In dem Sinne, diese Sterne sind für Euch! Bleibt mir gewogen, auch wenn's mal ein paar Tage nichts Neues gibt!

here's a special image for a special occasion: Today I am humbled by the fact that 1000 of you have clicked a thumbs-up on my photo page so far.

I would like to dedicate this image to all of you because this very scene has been on my top bucket list for quite some time and during our last stay in Crete I could finally make it happen.

So here's the milkyway in all its glory above the three rocks of Triopetra on the Cretan South Coast.

It was a truly unique and magical experience photographing on that beach all by myself and all I could hear was the sound of the breaking waves.

So thanks again for your support and stay tuned for more!

🇬🇷Τη Μεγάλη Πέμπτη ξεκινάνε οι προετοιμασίες για το Πάσχα όπου φτιάχνουμε τσουρέκια, βάφουμε κόκκινα αβγά και πλάθουμε πασχαλινά κουλουράκια.🔴🍪🐰🐣

📌Η λέξη "κουλουράκια" προέρχεται από το μεσαιωνικό "κουλλούριν" που με τη σειρά του προέρχεται από το αρχαίο ελληνικό "κολλύριον" υποκοριστικό της λέξης "κολλύρα" που ήταν το στρογγυλό ψωμάκι με τρύπα στη μέση. Η ετυμολογία του "κολλύριου" είναι αβέβαιη, αλλά πιθανόν να σχετίζεται με την αρχαία ελληνική λέξη «κόλλιξ», που σημαίνει επίσης «στρογγυλό ψωμί».🥯

🇬🇧On Good Thursday the Easter preparations begin thus we make easter buns [tsourékia], we dye red eggs and we make Easter cookies [kulurákia].🔴🍪🐰🐣

📌The word "κουλουράκια [kulurákia] comes from the medieval word "κουλούριν" [kulúrin] which comes from the ancient Greek "κολλύριον" [kolírion] diminutive of the word "κολλύρα" [kolíra], the round bread with a hole in the middle. The etymology of the word "κολλύριον" [kolírion] is uncertain, but it is possibly related to the ancient Greek word "κόλιξ" [kolix] which also means "round bread". 🥯
