The company was formed 1 May 1990 and by the year 2000 an association was formed between five of the best skilled workers and New Heights 268 (PTY) LTD trading as Associated Transformer Mfg. The company now was based on the perception of delivering quality products at shorter deliveries and resembles the proud product of an inspired work force. With the increase in productivity and the increase of the profitability of the company the prices of our product are competitive because the cost saving is handed over to the customers

Associated Transformer Mfg. was formed as a consolidation of experience in this particular field. The vision of the managing director Schalk Burger was to be amongst the first BEE companies in this field, a fact reflected by the large PDI shareholding in the firm. The doors opened on the 1st January 2001, with a staff compliment of 8. Since then Associated Transformer Mfg. has expanded its facility to the current size, and personnel has grown to the new total of 25 employees.
