A Seed was planted… Our Story
Grown from roots in East and West Sussex, SeaitGrow is a family business founded in the sunny seaside town of Brighton, UK. Dan and Cloe founded SeaitGrow on the 10 May 2015 inspired by Dan’s father, Mike. SeaitGrow is inextricably linked to Mike’s company Limehurst Ltd. who have been providing seaweed meal to happy customers for use on their Yew hedges for many year
s. With the desire to share the exciting benefits of our seaweed meal with a wider audience, SeaitGrow is the perfect vehicle for reaching new horizons. Limehurst has over 50 years experience in the medicinal & cosmetic plant industry and have successfully been collecting Yew Hedge clippings in the UK since 1992 for use as a cancer treatment. They are also involved in the harvesting and processing of medicinal & cosmetic plants. We are honored to be the sister company of Limehurst, a most commendable business and feel very lucky to have Mike as our mentor and guardian. Through forming SeaitGrow we have learned that we want the business to reflect who we are and what we care about. Forming SeaitGrow has nurtured and developed our existing passion for the environment, health and wellbeing of our society and educating children, which was hugely inspired by ’s , an initiative formed to equip children with the tools for growing their own fruit and vegetables to prepare nutritious meals from scratch. Our top priority is that the seaweed we use is sustainably harvested. We also want to have a minimal impact on the environment so we insist that all of our products and packaging are either organic, biodegradable, recycled, recyclable and re-useable and that our suppliers are based in the UK and Ireland alone and that they have all the correct licenses and certifications. We are passionate about providing first class, communicative customer care with a personal touch and to give good value so people in all situations can afford SeaitGrow Seaweed Meal and reap the benefits.

Vertical gardening is not only the wave of the future, it’s here, now. The faces behind the Seaweed!
Team walk along the beach - blustery weather!
One of Scotland’s rarest breeding birds, the corncrake, has suffered a poor season this year with numbers dropping by nearly a fifth.
Corncrakes are elusive, pigeon-sized birds which breed in Scotland over the spring and summer, migrating to Africa in winter. They are found in only a few isolated parts of the country, mainly on the islands. Nearly all parts of the country that corncrakes occupy witnessed a drop in numbers this year, except for a few places like the islands of Islay, Iona and Mull.
Corncrakes also suffered a decline in Scotland back in 2013 – with a 23 per cent drop compared with the previous year – but they did recover in 2014. It is thought that the exceptionally cold, late springs in 2013 and 2015 is the reason behind the reduction in the number of males calling - a standard counting method.
