To Help with Hurricane Relief Efforts
Dear Travel Partner,
We would like to inform you that we were asked by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to charter Carnival Fascination through January 2018 to further assist with hurricane relief efforts in the U.S. Virgin Islands. We want to do everything we can to support the recovery efforts so have agreed to do so. As a result, Carnival Fascination sailings from October 15, 2017 through January 28, 2018
have been cancelled.
If you have any clients' booked on the affected sailings, please look out for a separate communication with more information, including refund details. If you have clients' with bookings for the month of October, we'll also send them a communication to inform them of the cancellation, due to the proximity to the sailing date. For sailings November through January, we're counting on your support to inform your affected clients. Travel agent commissions will be protected on impacted sailings.
Our ships have been sailings through the Caribbean for more than 45 years and we have many friends and partners in the region. We were saddened to see the impact that was caused in some destinations as a result of the recent hurricanes. As previously announced, the Carnival Corporation family has committed up to $12 million in financial support for the Caribbean and other areas affected by the storms, in addition to chartering Carnival Fascination to further assist.
Please accept our sincere apology for this disruption to your clients' affected by this change. We thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Carnival Cruise Line
