Three trophies up for grabs this weekend with Jenny Bacon taking the Ladies Club Championship, Isobel Ketley winning the Effingham Bowl for the best nett score, and Mies Drinkwater taking the Forsyth Cup for the best eclectic score from the two rounds played. A week after becoming our Junior champion, Harry Hall shot rounds of 75 and 73 this weekend to become our Men's Club Champion. Alongside, Jenny Bacon became our Ladies Club Champion with rounds of 84 and 85. Many congratulations to you both.

Our new Short Game Facility is now officially open!!

Having carried out a member's survey in 2019, listened to the feedback and planned throughout a global pandemic, Effingham Golf Club has now delivered a world class practice facility for our members and visitors to hone their skills. We were joined by 2 time winner on the DP World Tour and 2008 Ryder Cup player, Oliver Wilson, this week as he demonstrated the best ways to make use of our new facilities as Club Captains, Peter Balcombe and Meriel Wright cut the ribbon.

Huge thanks must go to everyone involved in managing and executing this project, especially our Board of Directors, our dedicated team of greenkeepers, James Edwards, Conor Walsh and Steve Slinger.

Club Week 2023.......... a birds eye view.

The golf is well and truly underway and this evening see's our member's first social event of the week - Effingham Entertains! The 35m marquee is stunning with pictures to follow after the event. It's a secret...!!

Our new Short Game Area (also pictured) is growing in beautifully next to our 18th hole. We think it looks like its been there forever...!?

What a difference!! Over the past 10 weeks, our new short game academy has literally grown from strength to strength, and we couldn't be more pleased or excited. A great project, with our thanks to our architect, James Edwards, and CJW Golf , along with our own team of excellent greenkeepers.
