Three trophies up for grabs this weekend with Jenny Bacon taking the Ladies Club Championship, Isobel Ketley winning the Effingham Bowl for the best nett score, and Mies Drinkwater taking the Forsyth Cup for the best eclectic score from the two rounds played. Very well played Ladies, and congratulations.

A week after becoming our Junior champion, Harry Hall shot rounds of 75 and 73 this weekend to become our Men's Club Champion. Alongside, Jenny Bacon became our Ladies Club Champion with rounds of 84 and 85. Many congratulations to you both.

Congratulations to our Junior Captain, Harry Hall, who today became a three time Junior Club Champion following previous successes in 2021 and 2023, retaining the trophy with a gross 77, seen here with our Junior Organiser, James Crawford.

Our new Short Game Facility is now officially open!!

Having carried out a member's survey in 2019, listened to the feedback and planned throughout a global pandemic, Effingham Golf Club has now delivered a world class practice facility for our members and visitors to hone their skills. We were joined by 2 time winner on the DP World Tour and 2008 Ryder Cup player, Oliver Wilson, this week as he demonstrated the best ways to make use of our new facilities as Club Captains, Peter Balcombe and Meriel Wright cut the ribbon.

Huge thanks must go to everyone involved in managing and executing this project, especially our Board of Directors, our dedicated team of greenkeepers, James Edwards, Conor Walsh and Steve Slinger.
