Equi Treks is a weekend riding experience currently offering 2 different ride experiences in the San Louis Valley by appointment only. We are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for groups up to 4, but can handle larger groups upon request. Call for Availability and pricing.

The Great Sand Dunes National Park is appropriately 5 hour ride, we're you will be able to ride up the sand dunes to overlook the park. We ride through a shallow rushing river, that flows over the sand as we make our way to the the dunes and overlook. Then we ride up stream with wildlife such as deer and elk routinely being spotted. We will ride to abandoned cabins in the woods and explore them before heading back.

The Green Belt Trail is a 3 hour trip, 2 1/2 hours of riding through woods, Meadows, and on switch backs, with overlooks letting you see for over 100 miles.

The Green Belt Trail for sun set rides. Its 10 minutes from the ranch it's a 2 hour ride, 3 miles long, 6 miles round trip. We start 1 hour and 45 minuets before sunset and watch the sunset from the top of a peak 10 minutes from the trail head.

Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve is in southern Colorado. It’s known for huge dunes like the towering Star Dune, and for the seasonal Medano Creek and beach created at the base of the dunes. The backcountry Medano Pass Primitive Road winds through a canyon toward the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Trails lead to forests, wetlands and alpine lakes like Medano Lake, which is home to trout and tundra wildlife.
