The Platform Artist Studios The Platform building was converted into artists’ studios in 2012 by Fife Historic Buildings Trust.
Previously derelict, it originally housed the station waiting rooms, and has been sympathetically restored into creative spaces for Sally Grant, Grace Girvan, Suzy Kirk, Susie Redman, Anita Williamson, Gingerbread Designs, Sophie McKay Knight and Lara Scouller. The Edwardian building sits on the Burntisland dockside facing south towards Edinburgh and the Pentland Hills, providing the studios with an inspiring coastal environment for those who work there and all who visit.

Hello 👋 I’m Lara Scouller, I have a studio I will be running Shoreline a two day mixed media workshop held at Off The Rails Art House, Ladybank on 28th & 29th January.
Over the two days I will demonstrate different media processes which can be combined in new and surprising ways, using techniques from my own practice.

Sophie McKay Knight is in studio 11, which she shares with Lara Scouller .
Sophie works mainly in acrylic and mixed media and explores the very many layers of what it means to be a human . She will have original paintings and drawings for sale as well as Giclée Prints, Calendars, Cards and Tarot Cards .

Time for our Festive Open Studios !!! All welcome 💥💜⭐️
Local artist will be hosting a two day workshop on 19th & 20th November 2022 from 10am-4pm at Off the Rails Art House in Ladybank.
She will be creating a sense and feel of the shoreline using gathered natural materials from beaches near her home in Aberdour.
During the workshop you will be exploring through mixed media the wide variety of textures and colours that make up the shoreline.
