Our beautiful studios are based both on the Burntisland Station platform where you can visit and just behind the station at where are based.

Only 40 minutes from Edinburgh on the beautiful Fife coastal trainline.

Leo’s Station studio.
Platform studios includes a number of artists based in former train station buildings behind the main station. Leo is our only artist based on the station platform itself. You can find him on Platform 1.
will be exhibiting at our next open day on June 15th 11am - 5pm.

One of the units at The Platform Studios is currently available to let, and we would love to see new artists join our studio community. Fife Historic Buildings Trust – who own and manage the building – will be on site on Saturday from 11am to 1pm. Come along to see the space!

Platform Studios jewellers Grace Girvan and Sally Grant will be taking part in an exhibition at Coburg House Gallery on Sat 24th and Sun 25th March alongside some of their talented former Coburg House Studios friends.
All work will be for sale, hope to see you there.

Eight jewellers and makers return to their port of origin for a special reunion exhibition.

Hello 👋 I’m Lara Scouller, I have a studio I will be running Shoreline a two day mixed media workshop held at Off The Rails Art House, Ladybank on 28th & 29th January.

Over the two days I will demonstrate different media processes which can be combined in new and surprising ways, using techniques from my own practice.

Another preview of some of the items which will be available at next weekend’s Open Studios event !

Sophie McKay Knight is in studio 11, which she shares with Lara Scouller .

Sophie works mainly in acrylic and mixed media and explores the very many layers of what it means to be a human . She will have original paintings and drawings for sale as well as Giclée Prints, Calendars, Cards and Tarot Cards .

Local artist will be hosting a two day workshop on 19th & 20th November 2022 from 10am-4pm at Off the Rails Art House in Ladybank.

She will be creating a sense and feel of the shoreline using gathered natural materials from beaches near her home in Aberdour.

During the workshop you will be exploring through mixed media the wide variety of textures and colours that make up the shoreline.

The Platform Studio Artists would like to offer an art raffle in support of the Ukraine crisis; we have all donated a piece of art and created a JustGiving page - link below. Check out the gallery images to see what we are offering!

The page will be open for two weeks and the winner will be announced on Friday 1st April.
