Now is the time to think about your landscape projects for the 2025 season. 💭

Shown in the photo is a beautiful custom-built steel in-ground pool installed by Amazon Pools and Spas and landscaped by us.💦

We used Permacon laguna coping in the shade alpine grey and melville pavers in scandina grey, with a rockland black border. This bullnose coping has a smooth finish which creates a trendy, contemporary look. This coping is specially designed for rectangular pools and is our favourite coping to use on in-grounds.

We also installed K-block steps for the transition from the pool deck to the back lawn area.

Shawn has an outstanding work ethic, and often works from dawn until dust to make sure that our clients are satisfied. He’s passionate about maintaining his own gardens at his house and he’s also an avid outdoorsman. Clients constantly rave about his desire to make sure that work is always done promptly and properly. K-Block has benefits staked in your favour for retaining wall projects on a larger scale. It is one of the best and most innovative retaining wall block available in precast concrete. K-Block delivers fully engineered landscape block technology and it does this with unmatched safety, durability and aesthetics.

K-Block comes in a variety of shapes in both three and six square foot size configurations, some with a false split finish, all with the irregular look of natural stone. It is available in two attractive natural colours: Granite Blend and Earth Blend.

Mitchell Chase works primarily in the hardscape division here at Turfworks Landscaping. 🧱

He has been a key contributor on many of our large commercial and residential jobs. He’s also a skilled heavy equipment operator. He thrives under pressure and keeps jobs moving along on-time and on-task, while consistently delivering high quality workmanship. 🤩

Mitch is very hands on and is always on-site working diligently and efficiently, which sets the tone for productive work crews. In addition to working in the hardscape division, Mitch also works occasionally on some of our soft scape jobs. His thoroughness is noticed and appreciated by all of our clientele. 👏🏻

During Mitch’s free time you will find him spending time with his children, watching his son play soccer and volleyball, and collecting comic books and other valuables. This offseason he will be attending school to work towards his Red Seal.📚

We appreciate and value all our your hard work Mitchell, and we look forward to seeing you continue to grow and develop your skills at Turfworks for many years to come.

Shown in the photos, is a project one of our hardscape crews recently completed. The retaining wall and front steps were constructed with Allan Block in the colour light and stormy. The upper landing was built with The Shaw Group Nova 3000 pavers in the same colour. 🧱

We also installed a new front lawn with Kentucky Bluegrass sod, and bordered the front entrance with fabric and river rock for low maintenance.🌱

What does your dream backyard look like? 💭

Shown in the photos is our lakefront project one of our hardscape crews completed this past summer. 🧱

The beautiful garden walls and pergola supports were constructed with Permacon Lafitt products. The large patio area was built with Permacon Melville 60 mm pavers with a Trafalgar border. All Parmacon products used on this stunning project were in the colour Margaux beige.

Does your newly built home need to be landscaped? Let us help you! 😎

Shown in the photos is a new build landscaped by one of our crews.

We installed R5 on the embankment with heavy duty landscape fabric to prevent weeds and erosion. The stairs in the embankment are constructed with K-block steps. We also installed a Nova 3000 walkway and landing.

New garden beds were finished with river rock for a contemporary look and low maintenance result. We completed the job by installing the lawn with Kentucky Bluegrass sod. 🌱

Gabe is a hardscape technician and a key contributor at Turfworks Landscaping. 🧱

Gabe in his fifth landscaping season. He has quickly climbed the ranks here at Turfworks. Gabe has shown a tremendous ability to learn and improve every single day. He has been a major contributor on many of our large commercial and residential projects.

He’s a fast learner and has a meticulous eye for detail. These traits make Gabe a natural choice for doing precise and intricate tasks. He’s a great asset on all of our projects, and he has excellent instints and natural leadership traits.

Gabe is passionate about both landscaping and carpentry work. In his free time he enjoys travelling, hiking, running, and spending time with his dog Bella.🐶

We recently installed The Shaw Group Oldstone herringbone interlocking paver patio. 🧱

The Herringbone pattern is a timeless classic, that can bring a traditional or contemporary touch to any landscape design.

This pattern dates back to the Roman Empire, where it was originally used for building roadways. This interlocking paving system was built on top of a base of crushed stone, which cleverly absorbed traffic compression (both vehicle and pedestrian), making it extremely stable and durable. Hence, why it is a prefect design for walkways, patios, and driveways.

Lakefront Project 2024 💫

Our wonderful clients contacted us with the goal of creating a large outdoor living space to entertain their ever-growing family. After meeting with them, we decided that the best course of action was to create a comprehensive landscape design. This is the best way to help clients visualize what the end result will look like.

This project is truly one of a kind. It includes an outdoor kitchen area, which is ideal for hosting gatherings. There are two large seating patio areas with connecting walkways. We also included a waterfront patio with a fire-pit. Finally, we included numerous garden walls, raised planters, and various shrub and perennial beds to provide beautiful colours and contrast.

A special thanks to these wonderful clients for entrusting us to help bring their vision to life!
