Good afternoon, we hope you are all well, as its the 50th anniversary of the Official International Queen Fan Club this year, we are having 'Let them eat cake competition'! So all those budding bakers put your thinking caps on and bring us your anniversary celebration cake. This will be held on Sunday afternoon and judge by all the fan club leaders, it will be judged on presentation and taste!

No need to pre-register just bring your creations with you.

This year the Queen Fan Club is celebrating its Golden Anniversary.

At the convention we will be welcoming past and the current Secretaries of the club. SUE JOHNSTONE, THERESE PICKARD-PRICE, VICKY FARMER and JACKY SMITH will join together to bring stories of 50 years of the club. Hear how it all began, the highlights and how it has become the longest running Fan Club in the world.

We had a very productive meeting yesterday and the programme is coming together!

We are excited to announce that one of our special guests this year is Lenny Zakatek, Lenny is the lead singer of Gonzalez " I Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet "and The ‘Voice of The Alan Parson Project which has sold over 55 million albums worldwide ! He was featured on twelve songs from eight Alan Parsons Project albums, including the hits "I Wouldn't Want to Be Like You", "Games People Play", "You Don't Believe," and "Damned If I Do".

In 1986, The Immortals band was formed by Lenny Zakatek John Deacon & Robert Ahwai , the single ‘No Turning back’ was on the soundtrack of the film Biggles. Lenny is sure to have some fabulous stories from his time with John and his fantastic music career, we can’t wait to see him!

Good afternon

We sure have had some great fancy dress themes over the years.

The theme for Saturday evening at the Convention will be 'HalloQUEEN', so whether you come as Killer Queen, a Zombie, maybe a character from the Rock Horror Show or Queen themed costume we know you will come up some fantastic creations!

More details for the convention will be announced next week!

Good morning

We are pleased to announce that the Queen Convention 2024 which is being held at Haven’s Golden Sands holiday park in Mablethorpe, goes on sale from 9am on Thursday 15th February.

Booking and contact details will be advised early next week. You will be able to book online via the website or call the office and speak to one of the team to make the booking.

So, set your alarms and add it to your diary as from 9am on Thursday 15th February you can secure your place!

Don’t forget to make sure your membership is up to date!

The fan club celebrates its GOLDEN Anniversary, 50 years!

Happy 50th, well done to Jacky for being at the helm and keeping it going!

The annual Queen Convention party is in October, so what better time to come along and celebrate everything QUEEN!

We are delighted to announce that We Are Champion will be performing on Saturday night, they rocked the Convention in 2022 and I sure they will have something special up their sleeve this year for you all!

More news after yesterday’s announcement we are please to share that performing for us on Sunday night is The Royal Band – Queen Tribute, from Italy....they went down a storm in Montreux and I am sure they will rock Mablethorpe in October !

We are so excited to announce the dates and venue for the 37th Official International Queen Convention 2024.

Friday 4th – Monday 7th October 2024 and we are delighted that we are returning to Havens Golden Sands Holiday Park, Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire.

The convention will go on sale mid February (exact date will be advised in next couple of days), more details prices etc will be available prior to bookings being open.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your patience and we apologise in the delay in announcing this information.

We are looking forward to see you all in October!

We were so sad to hear the passing of Linda Maher, she was a regular at the convention and many other Queen events. Linda has been selling raffle tickets at the convention since the late 80's so I am sure you have all spoken to her at some point over the years. She was kind, thoughtful and great fun and will be so sadly missed by all of her friends, family and our thoughts go to Kevin. RIP spread your wings our friend💔

It is so sad to hear the passing of Aston McNeil, he was a regular at the convention and other Queen events. Aston was always a pleasure to speak too, he was game for a laugh, wore some amazing fancy dress costumes and off course was an anchor man on many tug or war teams! He will sadly missed by all of his friends, RIP and fly high our friend💔

What a blast we had at the 36th International Queen Fan Club Convention in sunny Mablethorpe! 🎸A rocking weekend filled with music, memories and merriment, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who attended, and we hope you can relive the event through this recap!

The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia, especially during the intimate interview with Sue Johnstone, co-founder of the Queen Fan Club, whose touching and funny stories, particularly about her last moments with Freddie Mercury, captivated everyone. Throughout the weekend, we enjoyed exclusive, live performances from five outstanding bands and musicians, including Live Killers, Tim Staffell, Robby Valentine, Kinda Queen and Qween – which act was your favourite? Let us know in the comments below! 🎶

As well as the fantastic live music, we engaged in a variety of fun activities over the weekend! From a brain-teasing quiz to exciting competitions and lively disco nights, the entertainment was truly top notch – we LOVED all of your fancy dress costumes and caravan window displays!

As we wrap up, anticipation is already soaring for next year's milestone – the 50th anniversary of the world's longest-running musical fan club! Who’s in? 👑

What a night well done to Live Killers fantastic show....Market place is in full swing and arts and crafts conpetition in the Live Lounge.

Vals Stall is open for merchandise, Maureen and her team are on the MPT stall and Reece from Eaton Mills is here taking pictures which can printed and can make key rings go see him.

Go see Helen for the Crazy Golf as that is now in full swing !

A big happy birthday to the wonderful Freddie who would have turned 72 today. Thank you for everything, you will be forever loved and missed by your fans 💛

Very busy but exciting times here as we are putting lots of plans together for the convention! We have a fantastic announcement which we will hopefully be able to reveal next week - we can't say too much at the moment but we're definitely "gonna rock ya, gonna roll ya, get you dancing in the aisles!"

Queen Machine - Just confirmed for the Sunday evening at the Queen Convention!

**EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT** We are pleased to confirm that for the first time ever we will have Queen Machine playing for us on the Sunday evening at the convention! Queen Machine is one of Scandinavia's most popular bands and has often been hailed as one of the best tribute bands in Europe. Queen Machine is world-class when it comes to presenting Queen’s universe in a tribute show that is both highly entertaining and authentic. Ever since the inception of the band in 2008, Queen Machine has been playing for an ever-increasing amount of people at festivals across Europe as well as on a string of sold-out concerts on tours both at home and abroad including a series of concerts with The National Symphony Orchestra of London along with opera singer Louise Fribo. Besides concerts in the home country of Denmark, the band has played concerts in the USA, Sweden, Norway and Germany, as well as performed on national TV on several occasions. In cooperation with CSB Island Entertainment.
