Happy Halloween 👻🎃 and farewell October! Reflecting on a wonderful visit to earlier this month when the spectacular fall colours were on display under the glow of the autumn sunshine. Photos of the village centre, Lost Lake and the “Train Wreck”. Hopefully these photos will bring back fond memories for those of you who have visited too. No filter required!

Approximately 30% of structures in Jasper were destroyed by the recent wildfire and assessments are still ongoing. Thinking about all those impacted during this very difficult time ❤️

We have been rather quiet over social media as our focus has been preparing for another very busy season. Our guests start arriving next week with the first Rocky Mountaineer train departure in just over a week, departing on Monday April 15, 2024. This first departure of the season will take our guests to Kamloops then onto Banff where we have arranged sightseeing tours and excursions to maximize their time in the Canadian Rockies. Every month of the year offers different experiences and the springtime brings cool crisp air, snow covered mountain tops, a greater potential for wildlife sightings, full rivers, streams, waterfalls and of course, new spring growth. Ice is still on the lakes at the higher elevations, such as Lake Louise and Peyto Lake. Due to snow coverage, some access roads to sights such as Moraine Lake in National Park and Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park, do not open until late May, early June.

, the main gateway for our guests, is already well into spring. We took these photos recently around Stanley Park, where there is no shortage of photo opportunities around this lush 400-hectare park.

We hope you are enjoying the spring too and thank you for your continued support - I can’t tell you how thankful we are for you all! Feel free to like, share or comment on our social media posts if you think they may be of interest to your family or friends.

We were fortunate enough to watch a black bear take a drink and a quick dip in on our walk today. He had a cheeky shake afterwards before continuing on his mission of foraging for food so he is all set for hibernation. An absolutely stunning moment with the backdrop of the fall colours. Did anyone else snap wildlife photos on their travels here in Western Canada? If you did, please feel free to share below - we love seeing them! 📷 😍
