Final Results from French GP Fitasc Compak consistent over 2 days but did not do enough on the 2nd day in the end. What a beautiful little shooting ground in beautiful surroundings. Just hope they have another!

Really cracking weekend back in England managed an 89ex100 on Saturday at Barrow Heath for the England Fitasc Sporting Selection Shoot. Then shot a good solid 94ex100 at Southdown at the BICTSF Compak which ran like clock work and very good layouts. Then shot the registered 100 English Sporting straight after the compak had finished and managed a massive 98 ex 100 which topped the weekend off! Just got in the door now back in Germany! Lots of driving and lack of sleep but worth the trip, weather wasn't to bad either!

This year has been amazing.Travelling to so many new shooting grounds around Europe with the family has been great. It's been hard trying to shoot well with additional commitments but I have loved every minute. It hasn't always gone to plan but my overall performance and level has been the highest it has ever been! On another note I have won less this year and the standard of shooting I have witnessed just gets higher and higher. All those who think targets are easier need to keep records over the next 5 years like I have! No matter where you are in Europe or the World the standard just keeps going up and up! Next year I expect to do very minimal competition shooting so I hope you have enjoyed some of my reports from this year! Mainly Game and Vermin for me next year and hopefully I can fit the odd one in but a massive year ahead with other things which are far more important than clay shooting! Here's how I have ended up for 2016:-

2016 Total Average = 91.85% Total Comp Clays 2050
2016 Compak Average = 92.76% Total Comp Clays 1450
2016 FSP Average = 89.00% Total Comp Clays 500
2016 ESP Average = 93.00% Total Comp Clays 100

It's been emotional! :-P

A question to serious competition clay shooters no matter the discipline. When is it acceptable to be talking loudly directly behind the shooting position when a shooter is actually shooting? Is it something you believe should be accepted by all? Should fellow shooters show more consideration to fellow competitors? What would you do in such a case? Just interested on the view points here........

Well here it is at the first ever German GP Compak Sporting in Suhl!! This is how it all happened for me from my perspective, day by day, layout by layout.

''Glen makes the trip to Suhl in Germany at the Schiessportzentrum Suhl-Friedberg. Was a fun weekend in Sühl for the German GP Compak. It was a shame it was spoilt a little bit on the 2nd day. I shot consistently and finished 9th with a 187 ex 200 some really good performances this weekend. Footage coming soon! ;-)

A very long Day 1 completed. Very glad to get through today after being up since 1am with a poorly little girl! 😒 finished on a 95ex100 :- 23, 25, 23 & 24 probably be 3 off the pace going into tomorrow! 😀😀😀
