Our house has been built less than a year ago. We have a large property( about 5000 square meters, or about 45,000 square feet) with parts of it made into tropical gardens, and the others left almost intact with original trees and vegetation, where we are creating some jungle walkways
The property is located in the Village of Macario Gomez , a small Mayan village of abo

ut 500 inhabitants. Our unique location gives an easy access to the village life and it's small eateries. However, we are also at the doorstep of the Mayan jungles , which you can safely explore just steps away from the property. The magnificient beaches of Tulum and the Tulum Ruins are located just 23 kilometers, or an 18 minute drive. The highway between Tulum and Macario Gomez is full of different size cenotes( sinkholes) that are worth exploring and can be easily incorporated to your itinerary between visiting the beaches,ruins or the village of Tulum. Another important and worthwhile destination is COBA, (27 km away) with it's pyramids and Mayan ballcourt. This site is located on the lake, which offer a long zipline over the lake for the more active and adventurous. There are also some very large and impressive underground cenotes which have opened recently. the colonial city of Valladolid is about 90 kilometers from us, making it an easy and ideal daytrip destination. You can explore their colonial architecture as well as Mayan - Spanish cousine. Your host are Erika and Efrain, AKA Chito. Erika is a Hungarian born in Slovakia, with 25 years living in the United States and now in Mexico. Efrain is a local Mayan, born in the area of Macario Gomez. Our expanded family includes 3 cats, 2 dos, a Coatimundi and a flock of chickens we keep for organic eggs. For those of you looking for an extra special adventure, Efrain offers tours to the jungle properties of the family, which include private cenotes ideal for diving. He is an excellent tour guide and nature lover and can give advice and information on local wildlife and fauna. As of the moment we have 2 rentals available, one is the cabana , sleeps 4 people. It is a totally independent and private building with it's own kitchen and outdoor dining area. It has a king size bed and 2 single beds that could be arranged as another king size or used as a sofa. It features a private bath with hot water available at all times. The kitchen allows you to prepare some of your own meals, salads, sandwiches to take to the beach .We provide a large coolbox, which you can fill with food and drinks to have handy at the beach or on expeditions. We can provide delicious breakfsts and dinners upne request at additional prices. Most of our seafood is freshly caught by Efrain. We also have a wonderful pool, great covered outdoor areas for your use with large comfortable hammocks and seating areas. Our second rental is a private room in the main house with bathroom downstairs. this bedroom features a comfortable king size bed, a corner desk, hammock and a private outside terrace.Sleeps 2. The bathroom is located on the main floor off the kitchen - dining area. and will be used mostly by you, or as me doing laundry there. use of the kitchen and fridge is a possibility. We offer plenty of safe parking area inside our property. We strongly suggests renting a carat the airport, so you will have an easy way to get around and see as many places as possible. renting online is the quickest and cheapest way to go.
