One topic that most don’t want to think about is the “in case of emergency”. I urge all travelers to have passports. I know of many instances that something happens if not for the traveler on cruise maybe a family member back home. And they need to leave the ship prior to end of itinerary.
Yes you can go with your birth certificate but look what can happen… just happy the children have been reunited with their mother.

The two children whose mother claimed were stuck in Mexico after their grandmother suffered a medical emergency while on a cruise will return to the United States later this week.
