It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ray Curry.
We would like to take a moment to remember and honour a man who played an instrumental role in shaping the success of Davidsons.
As many of our clients and followers know Ray was our manager and dedicated over 22 years of his life to Davidsons.
For over 2 decades Rays guidance, leadership, passion, inspiration and unwavering commitment has been the driving force behind the achievementments we celebrate today and his legacy will continue to resonate throughout the lodge.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Rays family and friends and hoping he is up there enjoying a red with Max!

Hi everyone ✋
If you are enthusiastic, adventurous, love wildlife, rock art and nature then come and join our awesome team next season at Davidsons Arnhemland Safaris.
We are an established Award Winning Tour Company operating personalised Eco Tours from our Eco Lodge in West Arnhemland.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Tour Guides / Trainee Tour Guides for the 2024 season (March to October) to conduct small group tours
Would prefer you have the following licenses and qualifications:
Cert 3 in Tour Guiding.
LR/MR Drivers license (with 4WD experience)
Coxswains License.
Current First Aid.
Current RSA
We are focused on filling the positions with the right people and are prepared to assist in training for the right people.
The nature of the tours are primarily focused on the wealth of cultural heritage this area contains in conjunction with the diverse ecology we are immersed in which includes bird watching, bush tucker, wildlife and of course a bit of Barra fishing.
Included in the wage packages are ALL meals and ensuite accommodation in an equal opportunity workplace that welcomes indigenous employees.

Hi everyone we are a remote eco-lodge located in West Arnhemland. We have world renowned Aboriginal art sites with multiple examples of ancient art and cultural practices.
The position is housekeeping, bar, wait staff.
All accommodation and meals are included, as is use of laundry facilities, the position is available for an immediate start.
Flights into the lodge from Darwin are covered.
Willingness to live remote and it provides an opportunity for saving money.

Congratulations Sally and Paul!!! An exciting new project which we are proud to be a part of 👌👌 Sally Kate May

New project announcement:

'Art at a crossroads: Aboriginal responses to contact in northern Australia'.

Researchers from PERAHU and 3 other institutions have secured ARC funding for this new 3-year project.

The project targets a vital chapter in Australia’s history: Aboriginal responses to ‘contact’ with new people arriving on their land. We will focus on rock art and bark paintings created during the last 400 years in western Arnhem Land as key visual references of the first-hand record of Australia’s colonial history.

A big shout out to our partners at Injalak Arts (Gunbalanya) and Awunbarna (Mt Borradaile) we can't wait to work with you all on this. The team includes: Sally K. May, Paul S.C. Tacon, Andrea Jalandoni and Luke Taylor (Griffith University), Liam Brady and Daryl Wesley (Flinders University), Laura Rademaker (ANU) and Joakim Goldhahn (UWA).

The Cooper creek waterfall in all it's glory. Bring on the fishing season!! We could see from the debris up in the trees that it was even higher a few days before.

Cruising through the rainforest after some big rains, surrounded by towering Saw palms which don't mind the seasonal inundation of water, this may look a bit familiar to some as beneath us there is a dry season access road to the floodplain.

This may look familiar to many of you who have been here later in the season... beleive it or not there is a road under here we use later in the season to get to our last two boat moorings!
