I would like to introduce you Acorn’s to Oak’s Forest School. Set in the most stunning ancient woodland, with rolling fields, woods and meadows as far as the eye can see. Fresh air and adventure in abundance, Wood Farm is a child’s natural playground. Our ethos is to provide Children with the opportunity to develop through contact with a natural, stimulating environment and encouraged and inspired

through positive experiences and freedom of discovery, whilst continuously learning about their natural environment and the world around them. This can be the key to unlocking potential, wherever it may lie.

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations)

As you will no doubt be aware, the introduction of the GDPR on 25th May 2018 represents the biggest change in data protection legislation for 20 years and will be implemented in the UK.

In order to ensure Acorns to Oaks Forest School is compliant with the forthcoming legislation, I want to clearly set out the reasons why we need to collect, hold and process personal data and how long we will hold the data for.

The data collected on our consent forms is treated with the strictest confidence. The personal information collected is only used by Acorns to Oaks Forest School to enable us to provide forest school sessions that are appropriate and cater for the individual. This sensitive information will only be passed onto the emergency services in the unlikely event of hospitalisation. Personal information is not passed on to anyone else, for any purpose. All consent forms are shredded after 12 months or sooner.

Email addresses are only used for alerting customers of upcoming events and dates, or if we need to contact you. Phone numbers are only used if we need to contact you regarding a booking or an emergency.

We are busy, at Acorn to Oaks Forest School, clearing and tidying after ‘The Beast From The East’!
Forest School Activities will resume during the May half term. By then we will have the wood s***k and span, ready for more glorious adventures!
Monday 28th May 10am-4pm for the Woodland Rangers (8-12 yrs)
Tuesday 29th May 10am-12Midday for the Explorers (Family and 5-7yrs)

**Important Announcement**
I am very excited to be able to tell you that we have a new member of the Forest School Team! I’d like to introduce you to, Terri Bassett. She has a wealth of experience, working with children, being an early years practitioner and a play worker, with experience working in a forest school in her current setting. Terri holds a CACHE Diploma Level 3 in child care and education, First Aid certificate, Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate and is DBS checked. Terri will be a valuable member of our team and I’m really looking forward to working with her!

We are now taking Woodland Party bookings, so if you fancy trying something different with fun, freedom and fresh air in abundance, then please get in touch for more details!

Terri, Elizabeth and I are looking forward to getting back into the woods and seeing you all soon!
