The first picture is Chabuca Granda, she is a famous peruvian singer who represents the "música criolla" in the bohemian and nowadays "hipster" district of Barranco in Lima. I will leave a link of her music below.

The second picture is the origin of this beautiful district, a place to relax, to love and to go to the beach. There is a nice catholic leyend that explains how the church of Barranco was founded. Now this old church is the house of the gallinazos from Lima.

The third one is the bridge of sighs (puente de los suspiros), like the song i have recommended. Men used to wait for the girls to pass and dedicate poems and old fashioned elegant compliments (not like now). Also, if you come here, (it's not mandatory) it's said that the first time you cross the bridge, you have to hold the breath until you arrive to the other side by walking tranquilo, and then you will be able to ask for a wish. ;)

Sometimes, in the middle of a tour, we find nice dogs smiling us with their tongue and moving the tail to us. Doesn't matter if the dog has owner or not (Cusco has 25 000 stray dogs), we will stop for few seconds to exchange love. In this case, i met Luna from the Hostel Frankestein in Cusco. She is sooo lovely!

Caballito de Totora is a pre incan traditional way of navigation and fishing. It was created (as well as the ceviche) by the Mochica culture from Peru located in Trujillo (North Coast), you can also have the chance to see them at the Titicaca Lake in Puno nowadays.

Cusco city was the Center of the universe according to the inka's cosmovision. It used to have the shape of a Puma Made by the Rivers Saphy and Tullumayu. The head was the temple of Sacsaywaman, the heart was the Main square of Cusco, the ge****ls was the temple of Qorikancha, and the tail was the confluence of the two rivers.

Besides, Inka's Empire (Tawantinsuyu) was conformed by 4 suyus, tawa means 4, and suyus means part, but it's not such a simple explanation like North, South, East and West, it has a very spiritual background. Do you want to know more information? Join our tour in Cusco! :D
