We celebrated #worldbicycleday by wrapping up the topsoil on #calgary #yyc and southern #alberta first asphalt pump track, then squeezing in a few laps with our crew. Parkwood SPRINGS the clues in the name, so when we originally built this we had to rock armour sections of the track as using a pipe wouldn’t of worked in these locations. Lady Cannings - Build and Ride!

What it takes......... During the winter months we have been busy digging, building and shaping the 2nd phase of the stupendous Lady Cannings MTB Trail #Cookingongas Following a lengthy planning period and felling works across the plantation we were able to squeeze onto site and make a start in January. Storm Doris (and others) gave us some jip flattening trees around us but we overcame to bring you more radness to the area. A whole load more of Blue flowty goodness is now open for action! #cookingongas Big thanks to Ride Sheffield, Go Outdoors, Sheffield City Council and the good people of Sheffield for making this possible. Lady Cannings is OPEN!

Today marks the latest addition to the burgeoning Sheffield mountain bike scene, with the official opening of a brand new trail! The trail, built by Bike Track, was completed in early March, and has been kept under wraps to allow the trail time to bed in after a stormy winter and forestry workings. Called 'Cooking on Gas', the trail joins the existing 'Blue Steel' trail crowd funded and built in the summer of 2015. Funding from riders and businesses such as GoOutdoors, along with many tireless volunteer hours and a supportive land manager in Sheffield City Council, has created a sustainable mountain bike trail which will see tens of thousands of riders gracing its berms and rollers in the coming months. The Blue grade flow trail is built in Bike Tracks signature 'the faster you go the tougher it is' style, which makes for a fun, challenging and accessible trail for all abilities, from novice through to World Champions! Cooking on gas is the new blue trail we have created at lady cannings for @ridesheffield and funded by @gooutdoors, This will compliment the exsisting bluesteel trail. We started working on the trail in January after the forestrys felling works had finished and was completed in early may, since then we have had it Hidden from everyone till it had fully bedded in.
