Please read our Description carefully and if you are not clear contact us. If you enjoy hiking with friends & family and exploring scenic and beautiful places, this is the group for you. We visit some of the most awesome places in Barbados. While hiking is our main focus, we enjoy kayaking, walking, para sailing and many other outdoor activities. We are a friendly group that welcomes adventurers a
nd explorers of all ages. Before You RSVP
Safety is our first concern. It is YOUR responsibility to be safe and prepared while out on the trails. The assistant organizer is fully empowered to turn folks away at any time for any reason, such as being unprepared, or the hike being outside their perceived ability. It is NOT OKAY to go off-trail, or follow others along routes that look interesting. Trail etiquette includes not cutting switchbacks or trampling vegetation unnecessarily. Please pack out everything that you pack in, including toilet paper. Common decency and state law require you to pick up after your dog. How to RSVP and Bring Guests
If you want to attend, RSVP "Yes." If you do not wish to attend, or do not want to receive event notifications, RSVP “No.”
Please add guests to your RSVP. Don't "hold" a spot on a hike with limited spots if you are unsure of your attendance. How To Carpool to a Hike
If you are interested in sharing a ride, include your location and whether you are offering or looking for a ride in your RSVP. You'll need to contact others and make your own arrangements. Usually we meet at a designated location prior to the hike and make desired arrangements there. Carpooling is OPTIONAL, and is an agreement between the driver and the passengers. Please share the transportation cost. Failure to share the cost is taken seriously. For every hike, bring water, salt or electrolyte, snacks and an extra layer of clothing. We do not necessarily stop for lunch; However, we DO stop along the way to snack and rest. While it's not part of the hike, we often stop for a refreshment afterward. What to Expect on Hike Day
You will see folks with backpacks standing around the designated Meetup location. The event organizer should describe the hike, and talk you through the proposed route, however ultimately you are responsible for yourself. Everyone is welcome regardless of age, marital status, physical condition, or belief system. We are NOT a singles group. If someone makes advances toward you and you are not interested ~ let them know. If they persist and you are uncomfortable, let the event organizer know about it, and we will discreetly deal with it. NB: DUE TO THE NATURE OF SOME HIKES IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO YOUR HEALTH & FITNESS AND KNOW WHAT YOUR BODY CAN TAKE. HIKE ADVENTURES IS NOT RESPONSIBLY FOR ANY DAMAGES YOU MAY INCUR ON ANY OF OUR ACTIVITIES.
