Hi All, we have some great news!

Earthpouch shortlisted in sustainable packaging category!

B&G PRODUCTS’ Earthpouch has been shortlisted for an award at the Sustainable Food Awards, with the winners being announced in Amsterdam in June.

The Earthpouch – our plastic-free packaging pouch which is both recyclable and compostable – is one of three finalists for the Sustainable Packaging Award.

Winners will be announced on June 7th at the Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, at a reception held alongside the Sustainable Foods Summit. The other two finalists are Coop Switzerland’s Multi-Bag and Eosta’s Natural Branding.

The inaugural awards have been organised by Ecovia Intelligence, with the aim of recognising companies helping to build a sustainable food industry.

Our packs are in store in and right now. It's been a bit complicated and we've had to make some compromises in terms of the look and feel of the packs - but it's got to be worth it right?
There are alternatives out there so we don't really need to have single use plastic any more, but companies seem reluctant and slow to make the change. Maybe consumers need to take action to persuade the big boys to move to the alternatives.
There was great consumer traction this week around the plastic wrapped organic coconuts in Sainsbury's. We could do with some positive coverage on the brand's that have already taken action.
Any thoughts?
