It's now official.. The long awaited 'silver darlings', first box of felixstowe ferry herrings are available from tomorrow!
Just landed before we left today so coudnt resist picking a few out the nets for you lucky lot.. OPEN 10-4
One of the healthiest sources of protein and omega 3, the most sustainable and extremely local we really should eat more of this natural resource that is literally on our door step...these fish have travelled 30yards to the stall!!
Do the right thing eat seasonal, buy local and stay healthy.

Whilst you’re staying at Golf View , if you fancy a change to eat ( I know we’ve the fantastic Ferry Boat Inn on our doorstep ) but for a change , only approx 12 miles away the beautiful Maybush Inn at Waldringfield, great food and amazing views

Well the Ferry Boat Inn will be opening from July great news bookings only to begin with but a positive move 🍷😃

Following the latest updates from the government, we are planning to re-open our doors early July for bookings and takeaways. To prepare for this, we are now taking bookings via email at [email protected]. In order to keep staff and customers safe, and comply with social distancing regulations, we will be asking all bookings to pre-order and pre-pay where possible, before arrival. Bawdsey Manor, which you can see across the river from Golf View , just a short ferry ride. Should be interesting.

This Wednesday 22nd Jan at 6.30PM on , Michael Portillo's stops at Bawdsey to learn about the important (and secret) work that went on here during the 1930s and into the Second World War.

Well Golf View has had a bit of a renovation I’ve been painting for the last 2 weeks throughout (I’m absolutely shattered now ) but it’s looking really nice . New carpets laid throughout, new sofa, wardrobes, and the bedroom has had a change around .
And after lots of deliberations regarding internet I’ve relented . I did want people to feel they could get away from it all and chill but WiFi seems more important to most , so now you can still all log on now. 😀
