I am not a fan of this cold weather. I rather be in the sun exploring a new city, ruins, swimming in the pool or hang out on the beach. 🏖️

This Monastery you can find just an hour drive from Valencia between Cullera and Gandia. It is free to explore and if you come in the morning you have it almost to yourself. 🇪🇸

Lily’s first time on the beach was a success!
I thought she wouldn’t like the sand but she loved it! 💕

Our holiday didn’t go as planned. We had first cold weather, the rain and then Lily had a fever. Turns out she was teething! Poor girl.
But that is ok, we will be back soon! 🇪🇸

The view from the other end of the Xativa Castle. 🏰. These ruins are so big. I love it!🇪🇸.

Even though the castle is beautiful to explore it is not stroller or wheelchair friendly. Now that I have Lily I notice this more. But I can always carry her in a baby carrier of course! ☺️.

Our vacation is already behind us. The last 3 weeks have flown by! Lily did so good on the plane and with the warm weather. ✈️ ☀️.

When I was in Vancouver I had some time and decided to fly to Maui for 10 days. Still one of the best decisions I have made.

Did you know that there were several movies filmed in Dénia back in the fifties, sixties and seventies?! 🎥 🇪🇸.

Some of the movies are The Three Musketeers (1973), The Four Musketeers (1974), two naval films HMS Defiant (1962), Billy Budd (1962) and Honeymoon Academy (1990).
But the first movie would be John Paul Jones (1959) which started it all.
There is even a Playmobil statue you can visit dedicated to John Paul Jones. (Swipe to see)

Another cute little courtyard in Dénia, 🇪🇸.
Besides getting a drink and some food here you can also visit the castle which is located on top of a cliff overlooking the coast.

When it is safe to travel again to Portugal I would highly recommend visiting Ponta Da Piedade in Lagos. 🇵🇹.

It can be pretty busy here so makes sure you have the time. You can just walk downwind enjoy the view, take a boat ride thru the caves or rent a kayak so you can explore the caves by yourself. 🛶🚤.

The São Lourenço church is a must see when you are in the Algarve. It’s small but the inside is so beautiful covered with all the blue and white tiles! ⛪️.

I won’t be going to Portugal this year. Hopefully next year! But now that COVID is rising up again in countries, are you still planning on going on vacation? ✈️

You can find this beautiful lake at the valley of five lakes in Canada. 🇨🇦. Just a 15 min drive from Jasper.

As the name already says it, with this hike you will walk past 5 lakes. Which are very nice! This lake is number two.
You can take a seat here and enjoy the view.

A very nice walk where you see five different lakes. Understand the name 😉.
