Today was a bust with the wind, rain, and overcast clouds. I am optimistic that the wx guessers are wrong about tomorrow. If the wx is semi favorable I will be leaving the Food Court parking lot at 0830. Anybody that wants to hit the flats, shoot me a message.

Yesterday was a great day on the early low, despite the wind. Popped into Ian's cut, where the water was low enough to get all the way out to the reef, but the wind had it blown out. Dropped down to 6 mile, and when the sun was finally high enough, the fishing was fantastic.

Hopefully the wx will clear this morning and we can get after it again.

This has been my view for the last 5 weeks. As the summer storms move through and the winds blow out the lagoon, it really couldn't have happened at a better time. JG has had some luck in between squalls getting a few on the line, but overall the wx has been crap.

Most importantly though I wanted to give a shout-out to the companies that have been supporting us out here. Temple Fork Outfitters and Hatch - Premium Fly Fishing Reels have been our steadfast flagship partners keeping us supplied with most of the gear we lend out and use daily. This year has been awesome getting guide/pro status with RIO PRODUCTS , and Scientific Anglers to keep our loops tight and fish on the line. Last but not least is my hometown favorite Simms Fishing Products who for years has helped keep our feet (and ankles!)(was not in my favorite Intruders when this happened)(lesson learned), heads/noses/skin/gear protected.

I know JG, Ben, and I are all grateful for these companies, there excellent equipment, and their support as we share this incredible location with new and crusty anglers alike.

If you are looking for gear, give these companies your time and support, they definitely give us theirs. (And we beat the crap out of stuff, what better endorsement do you need???)
