Christmas Eve, fresh pow-pow.
This is why it is called Big Elk Meadows. Two big bull elk just chillin’.
They are in velvet this time of year, when their antlers are growing. The one in front is a five pointer (each side).
Beautiful!

Strolling down the beach came across a local event. Fantastic, fun bad and cocktails on the beach.
Odyssey was hauled yesterday for an insurance survey…thanks to ‘friends’ at Geico.
After 3 years the slimy lizard company cancelled me because they fired all of the independent agents. I figured I would be able to go direct. Not.
Technically mine would be a new policy. And they aren’t writing new policies in boats over 50’.
So after 3 years of premiums and no claims…cancelled. And I have three other policies them.
So I am also cancelling my those.
Btw, the folks at 3D Boatyard were fantastic. I highly recommend them.
This guy is sooooo awesome. Fantastic R&B. Says he has been playing around her for 40+ years.
Throw in the sunset. Fantastic!
Gotta love the Green Parrot. Awesome Cajun/Blues band tonight.
A few hours this afternoon, hung out with Mark and Coco in their boat, a few miles into the Gulf.
They anchored and I met them on the tender.
Speared some fish. Watched sharks, rays, barracudas. Great time!
An unexpected treat tonight.
After chillin’ in town, back on Odyssey, enjoying a calm night and then…
Must have been from Mallory Square
Nice sunset cruise on the tender back to Odyssey after handing with friends on the island.
Sunset Key is the island to the left, super posh. Wisteria is to the right, uninhabited.
I’ve really settled into this lifestyle.
Seems like every day is something unique and fun.
This week is the Songwriters festival.
Not sure when I’m coming back.
Today’s highlight. From the dingy dock. A mantee on it’s back sipping some fresh water.
