We often are asked how many people Connie’s Cabin sleeps!
There are two bedrooms, each sleeping two. One double room (as shown), and one queen. With the addition of our lovely mcm sofa (which turns flat into a sofa bed 😍🙌🏻), Connie can sleep six! If you’re really feeling cozy, the small loft space above our double room can hold an air mattress for a few extra friends. 🥰
P.S. For those really curious on sleeping quarters, there is one plush and one firm mattress. Now we’re curious - which do you prefer?! ☁️

Trail highlight: Rum Runners (aka Dunseith Trail) 🍻🥾!
“The Dunseith Trail was the historic trade route between Boissevain, Manitoba and Dunseith, North Dakota before PTH 10 was built. This trail was used in the 1920s and 1930s by rum runners smuggling alcohol across the Canada – U.S.A. border during the prohibition era.” Source: Manitoba Parks
Rumour has it “moonshine” distilleries started popping up in basements of Turtle Mountain homesteads during the prohibition area, selling their alcohol on the black market to put food on the table. Booze was commonly hidden in hay bales and by way of packed horses traveling along the trail. Turns out the operation was so smooth and “successful” it was a known embarrassment to the authorities in the area.
If those trails could talk! So cool. Anywho, it’s a beauty trail and worth a run! 😉
