*Fifty plus is the new Youth in Nagpur*

Believe it or not! 17 senior citizens of Nagpur along with 3 youngsters with average age of 55 years braved sub zero temperature to climb Mount Phakonda , 13250 feet above sea level., off Manali in Himachal Pradesh.

The summit was done on 21st May after a 3 day trek which Enroute camped at Tilgan (8300 ft), Sarabogi (10200 ft) and finally at Teku ki Tapri (12300 ft). The trek leader was seasoned Mountaineer Atish Bhadange with 55 camps under his belt. The trek company led by Harsh*t Jain & Rohit Pisipati of *HRS Hikers* felt proud to have shown faith in the grit and enthusiasm of the group to have conquered Mt Phakonda.

8 Ladies, One 4th stage cancer survivor, 5 retired but not tired, 3 working professionals and 2 qualified instructors formed this brave group which said “No” to failure and “Yes” to fortitude.

The reward for the participants came in the form of snow capped Mt Phakonda where they could peg their tents at minus 2 degrees centigrade and watch glittering stars 2 days before full
Moon day! What a dividend in life for people who gave their best to life and are now enjoying the best from life .
