🎄It’s the most magical time of the year! Well, yes, it’s magical. But anyone with littles knows that it can also be exhausting. Here’s our for getting the kids settled at night and ready for bed during this exciting time.

🎥 We love having a Christmas Countdown show list already prepared and ready to go. This way there are no surprises about show run time so we can plan to get the kids to bed on time. It also takes a tiny bit of guess work out of your day which can actually prove to be a big help this time of year.

🎉 Here are our tips for pulling off the perfect surprise:

Step ONE: Make sure your kids are into surprises, especially if you are immediately leaving for your trip.

Step TWO: Give it the attention it deserves. Don’t lump it in with all of the other toys.

Step THREE: Don’t include a ton of stuff. A letter or pretend tickets are perfect.

Step FOUR: Make sure to have the cameras rolling. No matter which way the reaction goes you’ll want to remember this moment.

After chatting together about this post we were surprised to find that all three of us have actually really enjoyed touring the parks while pregnant. While you do tire out quicker, it feels great to get some exercise and enjoy family time before adding a new little one to all of your vacations.

Make sure to take care of yourself. This isn't the trip to be doing all of the things for everyone except yourself. Take time to rest and eat. And don't feel bad splurging on that tasty treat you can only get in the park. You deserve it!

💜 Bags within bags. Sounds crazy, right? But it will actually help keep *all* the things organized. For example, putting all of your first aid items in the blue bag will make it easy when you go to look for it because we know you’re always asking, “Where did I put that?” Color coding helps our brains keep it all straight.

💜 Help keep tempers cool with a stroller fan. Trust us, you’ll want to use it at some point for yourself, too.

💜 Toss this AirTag in one of the stroller bags. That way when your stroller gets moved or it’s too dark to see which one is yours, you can check the location to find it. It’s a great safeguard for stroller theft as well.

💜 If you have a wandering child, strap this handle to your stroller and have them hold on. It keeps everyone together.

🧞‍♂️ This next strategy can be really beneficial for late risers and crowded park days.

Stacking is a bit like riding a bike. It can be a bit tricky to wrap your head around and get started, but once you get it you’re set.

There are many (strong) opinions on what to stack, the order to choose stacked Lightning Lanes, etc. Just remember, do what’s best for your family. Prioritize what your party will enjoy the most.

We LOVE to see successfully stacked lineups. If you have a great example of one, drop it in the comments!

🧞‍♂️ After you’ve made your first Genie+ Lightning Lane pick, there are a couple of ways your day could go from there.

Churning is a great strategy for areas of the parks that have several attractions. We find ourselves using this strategy a lot at Magic Kingdom and in EPCOT.

Don’t forget, there is the option to update your Lightning Lane for an earlier time. So if you didn’t snag the time you wanted, don’t forget to refresh often to see if an earlier time pops up. This will add to the benefit of churning.

You won’t regret putting a little extra thought into making your stroller functional for your theme park needs. Here are some Amazon find we love to use:

💜The #1 piece of advice we can give you for prepping your stroller for vacation is CREATE MORE STORAGE. How can you do this? A good stroller caddy and stroller hooks can provide you with much needed space.

💜We always seem to be reaching for a sanitary wipe in theme parks so easy access to wipes is a big priority. Also, anything with extra cup holders is a must for all of the bottles of water you will accumulate throughout the day.

💜Some attachments even have extra net storage which is perfect for quick access to some of your bulkier items.

💜And really nothing beats a good stroller hook. We always pack one or two of these. They are great for hanging bags of souvenirs and more!
