Dinner for 29,-?! 😲

I've got to tell you - recently I have been discovering a completely different Krakow, a much cheaper Krakow 😆

When running errands in Podgórze today, I was so close to that I couldn't ignore the signs of fate! I've heard a lot of good things about lunches here from & .food_kati - thanks girls 🙌

A bit odd of me but actually this is my first time visiting this Polish restaurant- but not the last one! The place itself is consistent in its decor; very old-Polish, many memorabilia, various small and large geese in interesting poses peeking from every corner. Neat and warm and so tasty.

For lunch today we had pea soup, crumpets and compote, what a delightful set. Very homely, large portions and nicely presented. 29,- only!

We added a mix of all starters for PLN 39, goose broth and goose dumplings. Little sandwiches with tartare, goat cheese and fruits, chicken liver, fried oyster mushrooms and goose pate all served on grilled bread. Great way to explore various typical Polish small bites.

Let's quickly forget about this tasteless water 🥣 , the dumplings were amazing! 🥟 The last such good dumplings I managed to get delivered from during the pandemic... 🙃 Be sure to try them! We spent PLN 142 for the entire dinner for two. What a bargain💪

Remember a former Bar Wschód spot in Kazimierz? It's now ✨

I wish it'd opened at the summer's dawn, not its twilight, as it'd would have been one of the hottest spots in the city. A spontaneous decision to come to turned into a long evening feast, good vibes. And those illuminating lights that change colors add a special evanescent touch 💆🏻‍♂️

I'd say is a solid wine bar as they are offering a great list of refine wine bottles - from white, orange, through rose, sparkling to red. Our bottle was paired by the sommelier here-Wojtek - who chose Pampaneo Airen Natural. This Spanish gem was energetic and lively, and very unique as most orange wine should. Fine choice 👏🏻 🥂

The snacks menu is 14 options to choose from, prices from 15, - to 52,- - check the details in this post gallery. Try def potato with salmon caviar and buckwheat popcorn - what a Rollercoaster of textures! 🍽

operates from Thursday till Sunday only - hoping it'd welcome us more often any time soon 👀

Did you try their tacos yet? I never heard any disappointing feedback. They are so good! ♥

The tacos mix of 3 is all about:

🌮 Birria beef: corn tortilla, birria salsa, coriander & onion

🌮 Cochinita pork with marinated onion

🌮Al Pastor pork with grilled pineapple, coriander & onion my fav one 🙌

All in the price of 34,- ♥

Fingers crossed .jero, keep doing great job-hoping that one day we can enjoy your foodies in a bit more spacious room by the table. It'll happen one day, I'm sure about it 💪

Grab a buddy and visit the new Polish Vodka Factory Museum, it's amazing ❗

It's located in a historic building of the former Vodka Factory No. 11 built in the 1930s, later the Distillery.

For the price of 49,- or 59, - (vodka tasting included - two shots, two coctails) you can explore
👉 seven thematic galleries and seven main stories, which include for example presentation of medieval equipment for distilling vodka,
👉 Arevolution in distilling with 19th-century industrial equipment for vodka production,
👉 a bar from the period of the Second Polish Republic,
👉 a room for bottling and loading of finished products from the 1970s, vodkas from the times of the Polish People's Republic.

1,100 m2 of pure joy learning about the secrets of vodka production. As a museum - geek, I know for sure I'll bring here my family, it'd be a total Communist time throwback 📣

never had I thought that I'd have my own signature drink 😆 happy to collaborate with Osiem Miliardów Uśmiechów, a Twój jest moim ulubionym. Nadwiślańska it was such a fan to create it, and now it's out for you to enjoy 😍

The main idea was to keep summer as long as possible, hence refreshing tones & heavy aromas I adore in coctails:
🍹 Jack Daniels, rosemary-infused bourbon, Aperol, prosecco, rhubarb bitter, grapefruit. Dry, strong & refreshing 💪

new coctails menu is also packed with coctails created by my foodie friends - each one squeezedntheir favs tastes, all different, yet I believe you'll enjoy it big time ❤️

The comfort of having just few gastro places which you visit sight unseen, cause of their craft consistency, is so soothing for me 💆🏻‍♂️

And is an ultimate 10/10. Please do ask for stuff outside their regular menu, they might blow your mind like mine the last time I was here. We grabbed all the specials; wild salmon in shrimp bisque with cherry tomatoes, then chicken hearts, with truffle and truffle oil and - an oyster with yuzu 💛- all so good.

New huuuuuuuuge lunch sets are available from Monday to Friday 12 noon till 4 pm, and those options are too good to be slept on. And by huge I really do mean it’ll satisfy the hungriest 🤯 ❗

There are two vegetarian and two meat lunch options to choose from:

🌿 vege: sushi set: veggie futomaki, avocado hosomaki, cucumber hosomaki, veggie in tempura, grilled veggie and a drink. 50,-/55,-

🐔 meat: sushi: salmon futomaki, prawn futomaki, miso soup, veggie in tempura, grilled meat, a drink/70,-/95,-
+ an optional lunch coctail for 20,-

The quality, the service and the atmosphere in nami is undisputable. This time the lunch option stays for good but I really do recommend booking a table in advance as it’s becoming more and more popular ♥

Unpretentious, casual and affordable winebar? Yes, that 🥂

This charming winebar is located at the intersection of Dietla and Starowiślna streets and offers over 100 imported bottles of wine at very affordable prices for Krakow! 👀 And thanks to , we could try both wine and a wide range of cold & hot appetizers, as well as main dishes

On a hot day of the visit our thirst was quenched by the Spanish Cava Brut Nature (low sugar!) El Monje/ 84,- and we added a few plates:
🧀 huge board of cheese and cold cuts with honey and nuts / 50,-
🫒large marinated snacks, i.e. olives, cucumbers and peppers /20,-
🐟tuna ceviche in a refreshing marinade with chilli, lime, coriander, mint served on crackers/40,-
🦐 sea julienne with cheddar cheese coating, a mix of seafood with lobster and shrimp sauce based on béchamel / 40,-

Certainly is a place both for a date and for a casual meeting with a larger group of people because there is a lot of space ♥
A large menu is a big advantage for me because everyone can choose something to eat and the staff will certainly help you choose the right wine to have the best taste experience from dinner. You will love this place!💪

feat. The head chef is a new duet wonder ♥

I gladly accepted upon hearing that Michał has joined forces. I've been following his achievements in the city for a while and I knew that the new menu in Nota was going to be marvelous :)

We had a chance to try a new tasting menu which consists of 8 dishes. Although the menu is very autumny - tenderloin tartare, pierogies with black pudding, deer fillet - the taste gives all the justice regardless of a time of the year.

Our hearts were stolen by the deer fillet ideally paired with Schioppettino Bressan red wine 🍷 and that somewhat of a Polish candy Kukułka deconstruction; smart & tasty!

Don't sleep on the menu a la carte- there is a dish that engraved its place in my gastro heart for good: foie gras creme brulee & cider. The combination of savoury pate and sugar coating paired with amazing iced cider 🥂 should be trademarked 👏🏻

A sommelier, Tomasz Kąkol .k, has offered us one of the best wine pairing we've had in the city - no exaggeration here. Yet another reason to revisit :)

Feeling like a tourist in my own city as going to Zabłocie is always a total journey for me, so far for me 🤭

But this time I followed ‘footsteps and together we had an amazing vegetarian lunch in .romanowicza. What a treat it was! ♥ The short menu created by Marek Rusiński is far from generic, and packed with seasonal treasures 🌿

🌭 I strongly recommend having this vege hot dog! Even though it says it’s a small one, don’t be fooled- it’s far from that! Vege carrot hot dog with BBQ sauce, radish kimchi, chili agrodolce, buckwheat popcorn, herb mayonnaise left us both stunned. It’s crunchy & buttery at the same time, and moderately spicy-loved it!/30,-

Big dishes were BIG INDEED:

🥗 salad of young broad beans(!) and mashed cucumber on carrot hummus was great & filling, but a bit too dull for us. The hot dog simply raised the bar/ 30,-

🌱baked zucchini in miso, beans, roasted leek pickles, butter sauce, mint. It’s quite an effort & risk to make zucchini play the main role but made it. Appreciated the grilled coating, just slightly too oily for my personal taste. Still tasty!/ 40,-

The menu is available from 1.30 at weekdays, and 2.30 at the weekend.

Visited a charming oasis by the river just around Krakow’s corner 💆🏻‍♂️ 🌿

Dwie Rzeki Przestrzeń Spotkań 's restaurant is a part of the huge conference and banquet center located in a restored watermill in Balice on the Młynówka River, just next to other river- Rudawa, hence the name 🌳

The whole complex is grand, my job dropped when learnt how versatile it is, def worth considering if you’re looking for a supreme venue to celebrate big events in your life. The nature around the area is mesmerizing and tranquil- yet if you’re lucky enough you can hear planes above your head every now and again 😊✈

Dwie Rzeki's chefs Kamil Urbanik Sebastian Socha ,Dominik Poprawa created a short but rich in Polish classics in actually affordable prices for the value we get! Among our ‘oohs and achs’ were cucumber soup with a few blackberries & radish. Masterpiece! Never have I eaten a better summer soup- srsl 🤯

My dad – a 74 year-old-man- boldly stated that the pork tenderloin with wild mushrooms sauce, mustard potato puree and seasonal vegetables was the best in his life. Does it need a better recommendation?

We all felt stunned with the quality of all the dishes. Plus, I’m delighted that more & more restaurants are serving wine from Polish vineyeards. We really DO have something to boast about 🥂
rzeki operates in the weekend mode for now, from Fri to Sun 12.00-22.

Sady Bistro was born from the children's memories of the owners of the premises and the years spent in Alojza's & Eugeniusz's grandparents' orchards 🥰

The unconventional menu created by is based on the classics of Lesser Poland cuisine with regional flavors from the Lanckorona area and old recipes from the oldest cookbooks newly refreshed. And it tells!

I left .bistro delighted! 💆🏻‍♂️ The whole menu card sounds very fresh, seasonal and simply creative. It was hard to choose, I would love to choose the whole menu 💪
bistro is one to watch, obv. Plus, the owners are planning to organize dinners in the orchards in Lanckorona where chef Adrian Bobak will cook live and guests will be able to feel the real atmosphere of the orchard, so stay tuned 📣

The other day we detoured from my regular foodie destinations and landed again in .restauracja, an Azerbaijani restaurant whose breakfast option I’d showed you before! 🇦🇿

This time we decided to celebrate with Mangal Restauracja dinner – it was an exotic & extremely filling time. Why? The portions are huuuuuuuge! 🙈 The only problem was its dryness. I wish it was served with Narsharab sauce ( evaporated pomegranate juice that is combined with sugar and spices such as basil, cinnamon, coriander, salt, and ground black pepper) That’d stand out a bit more.

Mangal means grill or grilled, hence no wonder we could try lots of grilled meat here andLyu-Lya (Lula) kebab minced and grilled lamb and beef , salad, lavash, rice or fries is just one of the grilled option you ca get here. If you prefer chicken- queen of the spices saffron matches well with marinated and then grilled chicken was so juicy! 🍢

A fundamental element of Azerbaijani gastronomy is plov, a dish that features rice adorned with saffron, accompanied by the addition of herbs and greens. In .restauracja you can get Ashgara plov, azerbaijani style rice with saffron, beef, fried onion, dried grape & apricots, salad. Watch out- it takes two min to finish the plate off :)

Those two-again huge- bowls you see are beef dishes- Nar Govurma beef cooked with pomegranate and onions, served with salad, rice and that marinated beef with cherry. We got defeated with the number of dishes so this one was taken home. The cherry one is something you won’t get anywhere in the city, very fresh & fruit-like despite heavy meat. Yes to that 🔥
restauracja the only Azerbeijani restaurant in Kraków, run by extremely friendly staff from Baku 🇦🇿 Don’t waste a chance to invite them to your table so you can get a direct insight into Azeri cuisine & culture. What a lovely time spent! 😊❤️

Krzysiek. Pochodzi ze Śląska a dokładnie z Wodzisławia Śląskiego. Do Krakowa przyjeżdzał często tuż po zakończeniu szkoły średniej, ale na stałe przeprowadził się w 2010 aby rozpocząć studia magisterskie nauczycielskie oraz studiować literaturę amerykańską i brytyjską.

Pracuje w jednej ze szkół językowych na północy Krakowa, jako lektor języków obcych oraz metodyk języka angielskiego. Jako nauczyciel realizuje się od ponad dekady w szkołach językowch, gimnazjum oraz na jednej z krakowskich uczelni. Jak mówi "nauczanie zawsze było jego pasją więc cieszy się, że na co dzień robi to co lubi i umie najlepiej".

Jest tatą mopsa o imieniu Bisou. Poza pracą, której na szczęście jest dużo, prowadzi na IG oraz FB profil o krakowskiej gastronomii na którym przybliża najsmaczniejsze adresy kulinarne, testuje nowości, pomaga odkrywać nowe miejsca i ostrzega przed tymi gdzie lepiej nie bywać 😀

Profil prowadzony jest po angielsku więc mogą z niego korzystać także turyści.

Jak mówi lubi te miejsca, gdzie jest smacznie! Dużo jego przyjaciół pracuje w gastronomii więc korzysta z możliwości spotkań przy ciekawie zastawionym stole. Lubi też szwędać się po Kazimierzu i Podgórzu a w lecie spędza czas na Bagrach i nad Wisłą.

I just wish you could get the aroma & flavours over the screen of your smartphone! Or you just simply book a table at and check out their Greek classics and less known fresh proposals 🤭And there’s plenty to choose from:

🥬Our heart was stolen by that huge young grilled cabbage served in light riso pasta, broad boans, lemon sauce & pistachios. OMG, this plate can be easily shared as the portion is enormous, but be cautious- it’s too mouthwatering! I’m convinced that not only vegetarians will fall in love./38,-

🐟If you feel like grabbing fish, go for pan-fried cod with celery, cucumber, snap pea, citrus dressing, pear & cardamon sauce and...sesame cookie :O This plate tastes like a natural body tonic, a refreshing intermezzo. The cod itself got my head around cause it’s beyond subtle- so delicate. Craft masterpiece, srsl/ 48,-

🐙Seafood squid te****le plate brought holiday fiesta vibe, Served with baked leek, parsnip puree, leek mayo & sesame cookie is yet another big portion best served with grilled bread so you can enjoy every ounce of the sauce. Great complimentary products set/54,-

When I asked to krak Indian cuisine you can get on , my head was instantly flooded with the fond memories of the India journey I took in 2018. These eye-opening smells, flavors, people I met are still in me and this post is a great opportunity to come back to them 🇮🇳

It is difficult to find a common denominator of Indian cuisine 🤷🏻‍♂️ Much of what we eat out in here, i.e. rotis, naan bread , samosas, curries; palak paneer (spinach and cheese) & aloo ghobi (potatoes and cauliflower) originate from North India. However, southern Indian food is all about rice, stews, dosa, idli (steamed lentil rice cakes), saaru/rasam (tomato, tamarind and lentil soup) and huli/sambar (spicy lentil &vegetable stew).
Let’s talk about the 5 Indian spots in Kraków, two options- vegetarian & meat from each! 🔥

🍽️Indian/ Nepalese Vatti Special Soup Creamy shrimp and chicken based soup with indian Paneer cheese. More meaty than seafood-sh, very delicate. Aloo ghobi huge portion(!), great with nann, very warming. Mountain Momo-Steamed dumplings stuffed with minced chicken- rich flavour and again-considerable size full of rich taste.

🍴 Paneer palak amazing sauce, although the cheese was a bit dull in taste. Plus for a thick naan!. Chicken Briyani rice hit me with  sweet-floral aroma before I taste it, served with raite sauce. The portion was 2-person-like! :O Althought a bit dry, it was very flavourful & yummy.

🍴 Dal Soup, aromatic yellow lentil soup very similar to our leguminous soups, but lighter. House special marinated Chicken Gate of India baked in a Tandoori oven prepared in a sweet & spicy sauce. For me, too sweet thanks raisins- perfect for those who are afraid of spicy flavors. But those Alook Tikki potato pancakes & peas stole my heart! So moist & bold taste that you can still spice up with corainder sauce.

🍴 Minced Mutton Keema very spicy & fat, lots of spicy smells and flavors, would go well with rice! Crispy triangular Samosas filled with vegetables were as I remembered them- wholesome and def not dry.

Why did I sleep on .bar ? What a feast! 🔥

It took me a while to visit in their new location At 18 Zduńska Street in Dębniki. Now this much more spacious bar can host more people, if it hadn’t been for the reservation I made, I’d had to join the long queue outside 🙈

It’s been a while since the last get-together with our friends so decided to go wild and ordered almost the enitre available menu. Celebration time! 🎉

🐔 I couldn’t help but order General Tso’s Chicken- the combination of sweet, savoury, spicy and tangy battered in cornstarch chicken bathing in a deliciously sweet and sticky (hoisin sauce?) glaze is bar a proper business card! Solid portion for 38,-

🥩 Meateaters will be fond on juicy hong kong style ribs stewed in Chinese black rice with vinegar and soy sauce. Perfectly marinated help to enjoy those fall-off-the-bone ribs, make sure you accompany those with jasmin rice/ 38,-

🥗 For a bit more lighter & tastebuds refreshing dish, go for Cha Ca La Vong fish dish. This Vietnamese goodie struck a chord with me and brought back my longings for 19’s trip to Hanoi. Cod chunks are marinated in turmeric, aromatic green scallions and dill and then served with tons of coriander and  vermicelli noodles. Great umami intermezzo / 49,-

🍆 If have veggie cravings- eggplant is always a good call! Sichuann Yu Xiang eggplants are fried in a wok with garlic & ginger in the fermented soybeans . Playful sicky/sweet, sour, savory and slightly spicy sauce. The dish might be compared to Tso’s Chicken but for us turned to be way more flavourful!/ 34,-

Can’t remember if I ever left .bar that amazed 🤗♥️
