Nepal Land of Gods Day 4 Doleshwar Mahadev Temple , Kathmandu.

Tungareshwar temple and wild life sanctuary

This place is in Vasai East mumbai , there is a shivlinga which is situated at a hill top , the way to reach there is through forest road which is not at all good , you get bumpy rides . After a ride of 10 to 12 km from Vasai station, you reach temple premises which is really pious. Talking about the history Parshurama had killed a demon named Tunga here and also this place was owned by Parshurama for his religious rituals. So in present day , there is a shiva temple with shivlinga , we can offer abhishek there. While reaching the temple there are scenic views, small springs and waterfalls. The best place to visit this place is in rainy season . Nearing to the temple we can see many monkeys , but overall a good experience, just that forest authorities need to make a good road , this place can be a potential tourist spot if done so.

Day 2 Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is a fascinating destination in Nepal, located in Pokhara, opposite Davis Fall .This massive cave stretches 2, 950 meters, making it the longest in Nepal .Its name pays homage to Lord Shiva, with "Gupteshwor Mahadev" translating to "Great God" in Sanskrit ³.*History and Discovery*The cave was discovered in the 16th century by local men clearing grass .They stumbled upon various shrines and statues dedicated to Shiva and other Hindu deities, including Mahadev, Parvati, Nageswor, and Saraswati *Exploring the Cave*As you venture into the cave, you'll notice its darkness, despite some lighting .Bringing a head torch is recommended for a better experience. The cave has two main chambers with several shrines, including a large Shiva temple where photography is prohibited .Be cautious, as the ground and staircase can be slippery, especially during monsoon season . It has more than 300 stairs to be climbed down and very small cave wherein one person can bend and walk , bit scary yet adventurous, the cave has limestones and continuously water was dripping, below we can also find the patal chango where dead body of Davis was found , once in a lifetime experience We started with the beautiful spiral staircase that you take just to get down to the entrance to the cave. As you descend the long first staircase you will see the Mahadev temple which has shivlinga and nag covering shivlinga and continuous water flow performing Abhishek on ShivlingaNext further we move down ,entire section is about 125 feet and at the end there are very rough steps that lead you the rest of the way down. Here you are in a big cavern with the only real light coming from the main slit in the center. As you walk down the stairs to the viewing platform you can actually see the bottom of Devi Falls from here as well.Lumle Holidays Pvt. Ltd. Vijay Kumar Saxena Saxena

Nepal - ‘Land of Gods’

Day 1 - Kathmandu - Pashupatinath temple

This temple is located near Bagmati river and is supposed to be one of monument in UNESCO heritage. This temple is jyotirlinga which has 5 face in all 4 directions and one face is on the top of shivlinga which we cannot see as it is covered. This temple is built in pagoda style , inside the temple we have 4 dwars (doors) , from every dwar we can see Pashupatinath Mahadev’s one side of shivlinga and one face . For darshan only one dwar is open but for Sandhya Aarti the other 3 dwars are open . We got a chance to visit at the time of Aarti so we could see all 4 sides of Shivlinga

One legend says that Shiva and Parvati took the form of antelopes in the forest on the Bagmati river's east bank. The gods later caught up with him and grabbed him by one of his horns, forcing him to resume his divine form. The broken horn was worshipped as a linga, but over time it was buried and lost. Centuries later a herdsman found one of his cows showering the earth with milk, and after digging at the site, he discovered the divine linga of Pashupatinath.
