Tell me are you a water park family or prefer to hang at the pool all day?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While personally I prefer the pool the rest of the crew loves the action that the water park provides and while I'm a Disney girl through and through, this is where Universal takes the cake! Volcano bay is the best water park, you'll find great rides mixed with a lazy river and wave pool for a bit more relaxation.

Rent a cabana here so you never have to worry about chairs or someone staying with your things (each cabana comes with a locker). The best part is your own personal Tapu Tapu which lets you get on a virtual line for the top rides all from your personal cabana!

How can you make sure you get your ideal vacation dates? Book early, there's a lot of flexibility to move dates or cancel but trying to get those most desired dates later isn't an option!

Part of experiencing a destination is exploring it through food, since our first trip resturant were always a top priority.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Flying fish had long been on the bucket list but other options kept winning, on our last trip we finally got to experience it! Located in the boardwalk area (aka the best location on disney property) makes it an easy option from both Hollywood Studios or Epcot or even better plan it for a resort day dinner and really get to experience what the boardwalk is all about!

Gluten Free Breakfast at Disneyland...

I want to tell you that there are so many options that you don't even have to worry but that's unfortunately not the case... Quick Service breakfast options are hard to come by, combine that with an allergy (or two) and it's a whole different ball game.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Heading over to Carnations Cafe or the Plaza Inn at Disneyland for a sit down breakfast is going to be your BEST option but that doesn't always work, in Disney's California Adventure head over to Pyms Kitchen for the Calculated Breakfast = E x 2 + (B+P)/T. Simple bacon and eggs with toast and GF tater tots (yum) to start the day off right!

Try these three safe and delicious foods on your next visit to Disneyland!

1. Breakfast at Pyms Test Kitchen. Enjoy the Calculated Breakfast = E x 2 + (B+P)/T with Eggs 2 ways and such a fun resturant to experience!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Burger from Lamplight Lounge, in full disclosure if I could have Dairy I would order the Nachos but the burger was delicious. Head over there for sunset and enjoy a cocktail (or mock-tail) as the sunsets over Pixar Pier.

3. Get any of the tacos from Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill. These are the Al Pastor, the QuesaBirria are all the buzz but can't be made Dairy free, so if you can eat dairy I would recommend getting those!

Beignets or Mickey waffles for breakfast?

Mickey waffles can be pretty easy to come by at disney. You can find them (allergy friendly as well) at most resort resturant (both table and quick service). But if you've got Beignets on the mind (and mickey shaped ones if you can eat gluten and all the things) head over to Port Orleans French Quarter.

Try these three safe and delicious foods on your next visit to Animal Kingdom!

1. Breakfast at Tusker House. Enjoy all the mickey waffles you care to enjoy with a visit from Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy! The breakfast potatoes are phenomenal (and I don't even like breakfast potatoes)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Gluten free (not dairy free) churros from Nomad Lounge. The best place to take a break in animal kingdom and I mean anywhere they can make Churros this good (which are also gluten free) how can you miss it?

3. Get any of the bowls from Satu'li Canteen. You get to pick your own protein, base and sauces so the options are really endless and delicious!

Looking to up level your dining at Animal Kingdom...Head straight for Nomad Lounge!

Make a meal out of it or just go for the churros (gluten free of course)! It's the perfect place to take a mid day break. Keep your eyes on the water and find some of your favorite characters float by. You don't need a reservation but check your My Disney Experience app early and join the walk up list.

GLUTEN FREE CHURROS
(even if you eat gluten these are the best churros at Walt Disney World)

Now do i have you attention 😂 ok but seriously these are not to be missed! You can find these at Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom, while you can’t make a reservation for Nomad Lounge you can join the walk up list starting at 11am and it can get filled up fast but keep checking as availability is always changing. While the churros are not to be missed, you can grab small plates to make up a lunch or dinner and keep your eyes peeled for your favorite characters floating by on boats.

Part of what makes Disney unique is the level and variety of entertainment, it’s not just rides, it’s completely immersive.

While at Animal Kingdom you’re not going to want to miss the Festival of the Lion King (just trust me on this one). You can catch it multiple times throughout the day, you don’t need a Genie + reservation for it plus it’s a great break from the sun (or rain).

While I've never been the over the top Harry Potter fan, inspirational quotes have always been a love language of mine.

I've always been a dreamer with big ideas but follow through isn't my strength if I'm being honest. But travel, travel is something I follow through on (which I guess is sorta how I landed here). I've been exposed to travel since I was 3 months old, put on a plane to see my 80 something year old great grandmother (who lived to be over 100), my grandparents traveled the world (literally) when my grandfather died I think the only place really left on his bucket list was Bora Bora/ French Polynesian.

Travel to me combines these two in perfectly for me, I get to dream about destinations all over the world and then go out and live it, and while I know this page has been focused mainly on Disney these days it's not the full story...

2. Fried Chicken at 50's Prime Time Cafe. Stop by earlier in the day to pre-order the Gluten Free Fried Chicken

3. Smoked Kaadu Pork Ribs at Docking Bay 7. (There are so many options here, the majority of the menu needs little modification to be made GF)

Who does the planning in your family?

In the past Chris and I have planned the trips together leaving it as a surprise for h until well sometimes until he touches down at MCO and figures it out, as he's gotten older and has more opinions (well those are really always been there) we are starting to include him more.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This weekend we told him about the trip and asked what he wanted to do in hopes to avoid the million questions while on the trip (we're not sure if this plan will work).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our process
We typically put in some anchors for this trip they are extra hours at Hollywood Studios, knowing we must see Enchantment and Harmonious and figuring out where we can add in some resort time. From there we kinda play with things, lots of scribbling and re-writing, as plans change and dining reservations appear we pivot a bit and allow for that flexibility. We know we won't get to every ride and resturant but what are the MUST do and what are the sacrifices needed to make that happen!

Starting on this Thursday, February 17, Vaccinated guest are not longer required to wear masks at indoor locations. Make will still be required on Disney transportation including busses and monorails.
