Do to inclement weather the City Council Meeting was cancelled this evening.

We had a short conversation with the Mayor, Brian West.

He said the new STR ordinance would most likely be pushed back a month.

I do not have anything against the North Beach Bar and Grill but I am curious on if anyone has information on the zone that the North Beach Bar and Grill is, R-1, NEC.

As I understand that this is a residential property but given a special use.

It seems controversial to me that the City of Tybee can offer this type of special residential use for a property that the City, itself, owns.

Today I had an opportunity to hear Michael T. Owens and Patrick Connell speak on the ongoing efforts to change the direction the City of Tybee Island is going in regards to STR industry.

As you may or may not be aware that Michael and Patrick are leading up the litigation efforts on behalf of Tybee Alliance.

Overall, the gears of litigation are going about as fast as any government project due to the backlog of court cases. In the next couple of weeks the discovery phase will end so some further movement will occur in the next few months, but not quickly.
