Perfect house for people who like to feel space but connected to one another at the same time. Prep dinner and chat with friends or family or watch the kids play outside with floor to ceiling windows.

We always love the spots of light we find throughout the house as the day goes on.

Eichler’s are known for their interesting layouts of space. For those unfamiliar with these beautiful Eichler homes here’s an interesting thing about our home: here in our Atrium model designed by Claude Oakland, our hallway turns into the sink/vanity area of guest bathroom area. It’s an interesting design that you don’t find in most homes.

The toilet is of course enclosed. Imagine not having that privacy!

Santa Barbara is just a short, beautiful coastal drive away from Desert Oaks Thousand Oaks.

Go for the day and see and do a number of things. You could just spend time at the beach, rent bikes and other fun things from , reserve your spot at the Zoo or aquarium, shop and eat great food at places like the Santa Barbara Public Market.

There are so many great places to go and discover up and down the coast here.

The bedrooms in most Eichler homes aren’t the biggest but they sure can be cozy and inviting.

Sometimes we actually take turns sleeping in here alone to get a good nights rest because it is just so comfortable for sleeping and so gorgeous when you wake up with that morning light and seeing the lemon tree out the window. But, then the primary bedroom starts calling..

Spent quite a while looking for a new bed for the Primary Bedroom a while back..

We finally found it and are in love with the cozy feel the bouclé fabric lends to the room.

Mornings have never felt so good and relaxing.

Take a short drive to Oxnard State Beach and hang out on the beach or ride bikes along the path. One of our favourite spot to hang out with our little buddy for a couple hours.
