Chapel Hart Added to Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee Bill
Country Trio to Open for Sister Hazel
North Augusta, SC (October 2, 2023) – North Augusta Parks, Recreation, and Tourism announced today that Chapel Hart, an award-winning country trio from Poplarville, Mississippi, will be the opening act during the Saturday performances at this year’s Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee. Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee will take place over two days and feature two big nights of live entertainment. The event will open Friday, October 27 with contemporary Christian artist, TobyMac. Sister Hazel will headline Saturday, October 28, with Chapel Hart opening the show.
Chapel Hart, comprised of sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and their cousin, Trea Swindle, began performing together in 2014. In 2021 the trio were selected by CMT to be included for inclusion with a few other acts as “Next Women of Country.” In 2021 the group competed in NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” During their audition episode Chapel Hart earned the second-ever Golden Buzzer which allowed them to automatically advance to the next round. They would go on in the competition to advance to the finals where they ultimately finished fifth. On September 17, 2022 the group made their debut at Grand Ole Opry. Their third album, Glory Days was released in May of this year.
North Augusta PRT Director Rick Meyer is understandingly enthusiastic about Chapel Hart joining the bill. “We were already excited about TobyMac and Sister Hazel joining us in North Augusta this year. Adding a national act like Chapel Hart to an already strong bill will be a great addition to Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee.”
The Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee concerts are free to the public and all are encouraged to join for this annual event. The event takes place on Georgia Ave. in the heart of Downtown North Augusta. TobyMac’s performance will begin at 7:30pm on Friday, October 27. On Saturday, April 28, the festival will open at 10am with craft and food vendors, amusement ride, and bounce houses. Chapel Hart will perform at 6:30pm and Sister Hazel will go on at 8:00pm.
