JAYA SRI MAHA BODHI.

It was Planted in 288 BC, It is the oldest living human Planted tree in the world with a known Planting date, It was Planted on a high terrace about 6.5m (21.3 ft) above the ground.It is surrounded by railings to protect it. The sri Maha Bodhi is said to the oldest and longest Surviving in 288BC during the reign of king Devanampiyatissa, and brought from India, by Princess Sangamitta.
