Over the last week, Hawes has seen hundreds of runners pass through, start or end the country’s most brutal race Montane Spine Race. To get to the start line of such an event is a big achievement in itself so a big congratulations to one of our recent guests, Paul, who completed the Spine Challenger North. It’s been Grimm in Hawes this weekend! David J Gatward the author of the DCI Harry Grimm series has kept us entertained with stories and anecdotes about life as an author - he enjoys murdering his characters in the most gruesome of ways, just a little too much😆 A fab event at The Fountain Hotel. Fun fact: back in the day, a certain Mr Gatward used to get his hair cut in the hairdressers which is now Dales Den.
