El mirador Tres Cruces ofrece uno de los mejores amaneceres del mundo. Se ubica a unas horas del pueblo de Paucartambo, a 105 kilรณmetros por carretera de la ciudad del Cusco. PEABIRรš - El camino guaranรญ hacia los Andes.

El llamado "Camino de Peabirรบ" es un camino que data del siglo V al siglo XVI usado por los guaranies. En sus creencias los guaranies decรญan que mรกs allรก de las montaรฑas por donde se oculta el sol existรญa la llamada "Tierra sin Mal" donde vivรญa el "Rey Sol" y era un reino de justicia, prosperidad y abundancia.

En 1524 el portuguรฉs Aleixo Garcia llegรณ a territorio guaranรญ donde se enterรณ de estas noticias. Los guaranies le contaron que mรกs allรก de las montaรฑas de los andes habรญa un reino muy poderoso con abundante oro y plata. Animado por estas noticias Aleixo Garcia juntรณ un ejercito de 3 mil guerreros mรกs otros miles de ayudantes entre guaranies y portugueses y partiรณ hacia la zona de Potosรญ para "conquistar el reino del Rey Sol"

Llegaron hasta las fronteras del Qollasuyu por la ruta del rio Pillqomayu En aquella รฉpoca el Imperio Inca estaba gobernado por el Emperador Wayna Qhapaq, el imperio estaba unido y era fuerte [todavรญa no sucedรญa la guerra civil inca)]

Los Incas enterados de que los chiriguanos una vez mรกs invadรญan el Qollasuyu decidieron enviar tropas a esa zona a cargo del valeroso capitan Inca Yasqa con un destacamento militar de 10 mil soldados.

Los guerreros de Aleixo Garcia asaltaron los fortines fronterizos de los incaicos. Saquearon Mizque, Presto, Tarabuco y las aldeas chichas, pero no lograron tomar los principales [Samaipata e Incallacta] aquรญ es donde se encuentran con las tropas incas lideradas por el general Inca Yasqa.

Las consecuencias fueron desastrosas para Aleixo Garcia y sus guerreros guaranies, se calcula que murieron 6 mil guaranies y 200 guerreros incas. Alexo logrรณ huir a duras p***s junto con el botรญn que habรญa rapiรฑado e indigenas chiquitanos y chanรฉs que habรญa capturado, pero muriรณ en el camino atacado por indรญgenas chaqueรฑos [payaguaes]

Todo esto ocurriรณ 10 aรฑos antes de la llegada de Francisco Pizarro que llegรณ en circunstancias muy diferentes; una guerra civil entre Ataw Wallpaq y Waskar con cientos de miles de mu***os y el poderoso ejercito inca auto-destruido en la guerra civil sumado a las terribles epidemias de viruela y gripe que asolaban a todo el imperio y causaron gran mortandad.

Con respecto al camino de "Peabirรบ" palabra guarani que los investigadores sostienen que viene de "Pe" [Camino] y "a Birรบ" [cesped cortado] Yo sospecho que en realidad significa "Camino a Birรบ" Porque el territorio andino llamado "Pirua / Pirhua" [En quechua] era pronunciado como "Piru" en otras lenguas y al norte como "Birรบ".

El nombre del Estado Inca era "Tawantinsuyu" [Gobierno de las cuatro regiones] desde el siglo XI pero el nombre del territorio andino era "Pirua o Pirhua" desde hace 3 mil aรฑos. La etimologรญa mas probable serรญa "Pea-Birรบ" [Camino a Birรบ/Pirรบ]
