This Earth Day we are all about celebrating staycations. Did you know that around 2.4% of global CO2 emissions come from aviation? Combined with other gases and water vapour trails produced by aircraft, the industry as a whole is responsible for around 5% of global warming. Although not an initially jaw-dropping percentage, the reality is that only a very small percentage of the world actually take frequent flights: the International Council on Clean Transportation estimate just 3% of the global population are frequent fliers…✈️

The likelihood is that for those of us that do fly, trips abroad will make up a significant portion of our personal carbon footprint. 🌍 Community efforts: Look out for environmental projects, beach clean-ups or biodiversity protection, alongside employing local staff and using local businesses in the supply chain.
