in the center of is a cute little spot to hang around day and night.
Gets busier on cool summer evenings when people sit around the lake on the grass or have coffee or dinner in one of the cafes around.
The tall buildings in the background are on the northern side of the Northern Avenue, the main pedestrian street of Yerevan.

This is the trade unions building built im the 50s on Republic Square. Now it's more like a business center with a post office, a bank and offices on the top floors.
