If you’ve been following our stories on IG, we spent this past week at Disney with Katie’s family. While the weather was hot and we were all worn out, I can’t remember the last time we laughed so hard.

Forever thankful these are my people.

We had a whirlwind of a trip this past weekend, and we are counting down the days till our next trip! Brett and I stayed at Port Orleans- French Quarter on this trip, which was magical. The view from our balcony was breathtaking, and it felt like we were in NOLA. There were great food options (Brett loved the Loaded Totcho Bowl) and Mickey-shaped Beignets! We caught a great band at the S**t Cat Club- Lounge. Overall - we enjoyed this resort and can’t wait to return to it or check out its sister resort, Port Orleans- Riverside!

Brett and I agree that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind- is the best ride on Disney property.

This ride is thrilling and has a rotating playlist! It also features a reverse launch, and your ride vehicle can spin 360 degrees.

There are two ways to ride this attraction- either with the virtual queue or paying for an individual lighting lane. For more information on these, check out our TRON post!

On our recent trip we got to check out the newest ride in the Magic Kingdom - TRON Lightcycle run.

This ride was absolutely amazing and fast- reaching a maximum speed of nearly 60 mph! Disney has a new locker system for your bags, so you don’t have to worry about them during the ride. Our only critique was we wish the ride was a bit longer. Regardless we loved it, and think it’s is one of the top two rides at Disney. Currently there is no standby line to ride this attraction. If you want to ride you either get a virtual boarding pass or purchase an individual lighting lane pass.

The virtual boarding passes go live at 7:00 am, and they are usually gone by 7:01 am. Our advice is to have the join virtual queue open at 6:50, and start refreshing at 6:59 am. They do have a second round of passes go live at 1:00 pm. If you can’t secure a boarding pass- we both agreed that an individual lightning lane pass would be worth the cost.

We finally got to try Steakhouse 71, and we have some thoughts. During our trip we were able to eat dinner in the restaurant and order breakfast to go. Dinner was nice- we loved the crab cakes, bread service, Mac and cheese. The chocolate cake was to die for. Unfortunately, neither one of us was really impressed with our steaks. We both loved breakfast- Brett got the Walt’s Prime Rib Hash and I got the Eggs Benedict.

Overall, it’s a nice restaurant with kind servers and an amazing atmosphere. However, Brett and I both felt it would be better to get breakfast, lunch, or just not get a steak here. Personally, if I were to eat here again I would probably just come for the chocolate cake.
