We usually go out at this time but can't this year. The weather is perfect, flights are usually very affordable and car hire is cheap 😀
These 2 weeks are the Angus school holidays so maybe you want a nice family holiday without breaking the bank 😎

Another successful holiday! Kids had so much fun. We went to a local Fiesta with free food and drink all night in Algorfa. Met some lovely people too and learned some more Espanol.😁

🚌 Bus timetables throughout the year 🚌
Our closest stop is Urb San Luis, Plaza Tolosa 11, which is down at the main square near the carpark.
This bus goes into Torrevieja, but from here you can get on other buses to go to different places.
You can get on this bus to go to The waterpark, Carrefour, Parque naciones (great place for the kids, with a play park, chickens, lakes), with lots of other stops along the way.

Last year we took the leap and bought a lovely 2 bedroom apartment in San Luis, which is near Torrevieja. The apartment is available for holiday rental.
We are a 35 minute drive/taxi ride from Alicante airport. You can also fly into Murcia which is just under an hours drive/ taxi ride.
If you enjoy walking there are salt lakes either side of us, a pink lake and a blue lake. If you're lucky you might see the flamingos!
There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Quesada is less than a 10 minute taxi ride for more restaurants and bars, or Los Montesinos which has an amazing Mexican restaurant!
Torrevieja is a short bus journey with plenty of places to get off and explore on the way..Torrevieja is where you'll find the beach, but there are also lots of other beaches to explore nearby - Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca, Guardamar, La Mata.
There are big markets nearby that are great for food, gifts, bags, clothes...
If you're travelling with children there are a couple of waterparks which are open in peak season. There is also Rio safari (the zoo) 30 minutes away in the car or you can get a bus from Torrevieja.
If you're a keen golfer there are 9 gold courses nearby, that I know of!
