Summer 2023 - Due to new restrictions that make renting short term (under 30 days) more expensive and onerous, we are considering renting for just one month this summer in either June or August. If interested please contact us through this page or the VRBO site listed.

Thank you for the interest in our cottage. We have solidified our summer plans and are offering the house for rent 4 weeks this summer, the last 2 weeks of July and August.

To optimize both the cleaners and our schedule, we would like to rent Friday to Friday the following dates:
July 15-22

SUMMER 2021 PLANS: We will open up the summer '21 reservation calendar on VRBO early next year when we know more about the club's 2021 policy for temporary memberships. Our preference is to rent for (2) 2-week periods, one sometime in July, and 1 the second half of August but we would consider (1) 3-4-week rental. If interested please submit an inquiry. Thank you.

SUMMER 2020 UPDATE #2: Because a lot of the club amenities will be closed until we reach the yellow or green phase, and because the club is only offering minimum 4-week temporary memberships this summer, we have revised our rental calendar.
Instead of taking our usual vacation in August, we plan to use the house in late June /July, so have taken it off the market those months.
We hope state and club restrictions will ease by August so we can offer it then for 3 or 4 weeks. We will know more by early June so if you are interested in August please check back later. Thanks.

SUMMER 2020 UPDATE - Due to the pandemic, this summer the Lake Naomi Club will not be offering Temporary Memberships for any time less than 4 weeks (at a cost of $920). We have offered our current weekly renters free cancellation, and if they decide to do so, we will be looking to rent the cottage for just one 3-4 week session this summer to justify the 4-week membership. We still have 2 prime weeks available for the summer. Over the holiday weekend of July 3-10 and the last week in July, 24-31. These are Friday to Friday times so we can use the house ourselves on one of the weekends, but can consider Sat-Sat. Late August also open.

History

We are the Griffens, a family of 5 with 3 teenage boys who bought the house in 2016 as place to make new memories. We often use it as a weekend and summer escape from our home outside Philly. As an architect I enjoy continually redesigning and updating it.

We wanted a house within 2 hours of home so we would be sure to use it often. We looked all over the area within that radius and Lake Naomi was the clear choice because of how beautiful and pristine the area is. Lake Naomi Club has all the amenities you could want (for a reasonable fee) without any of the pretensions you might expect.

While the house is not large at just over 1000 square feet, it feels spacious because of the tall ceilings, large windows and easy access to 2 outside decks and 2 balconies. The boys love the custom bunk beds. The singing deer head came with the house and the boys insisted we keep it. You may tell your kids it talks at your own risk. :)
