Okay ladies, it is about that time. You need to decide if you are going to join us on our amazing trip to Ireland! Airfares are not going down yet but I am afraid we are going to lose out on other bookings by waiting much longer. I will be working on booking the trip in the next week or so and need to know who is going, make rooming arrangements (email me if you have a preference), do you want single, two. or three people in a room, and who needs help booking airline tickets. Once the airline is confirmed, we will book the train tour in Ireland. Then we will start booking Scotland hotels and attractions. The current cost is about $3,700 for Ireland and Scotland. Dates are July 26 to August 7.

If you want help booking your airline ticket, we can meet at my house or the school and I will get it booked for you. I can use my credit card and you can pay me directly or you can use your own credit card.

We may have to use two different flights, one on American and one on United. They leave within 30 minutes of each other from the same airports. I would love to have everyone on the same flight but just giving you a heads up that we may need to divide and conquer cheaper fares. If I don't hear back from you I will reach out again. If I still don't hear back I will assume you have not decided to join us on our adventure.

If you are going and have not yet started your passport process, you will need to do it expedited and pay the extra fee at this point.

Tonight is our first meeting to discuss the trip in June-July of 2023. We will decided our top priorities and costs. This is not a formal travel group, just me wanting to share Ireland with my friends. I love to travel and want to share that with my friends. We will be in my classroom starting at 5:30pm. Come in through the back doors by my classroom in the middle school. You will see my Jeep parked there.

We will have an informational meeting October 19, 2022 @5:30pm in my classroom at the middle school. This trip is an invite only and not open to the public. You can invite people but don't want the trip to get so big it is hard to manage. This is not a tour group trip, this is me taking a group of friends to Ireland and Scotland to explore, have fun, and make some memories!

Airline tickets will be going on sale soon for next July. Make sure you have your money or credit card ready. I can book for you using mine if it is paid for in advance. Should be about $600-$700 out of Springfield. Make sure you have started the process to get your passport also! That can take a while.

We are about 2 months away from the time airline tickets will be going on sale. I am looking at the beginning of July for the trip and will book the cheapest day possible. If you are considering going, make sure you have started the process to get your passport if you don't have one. I need to renew mine and will be working on that in the next month or so. If you are VERY interested, let me know so I can keep you updated about buying airline tickets. They tend to go on sale in October. If I see one for $650 out of SGF (Springfield) I will grab it.

I am leaning towards American Airlines if I can. A great credit card to earn some free miles is the American Aviator card. Here is a link that gets me some free miles also. Make sure it gives you 50,000 free miles. Right now the tickets are 80,000 round trip to Dublin and that is without a sale price. Once the sale fare hits you need to be ready with the miles if that is how you would like to pay for your airline ticket. Apply now because it takes about 6 weeks for them to be applied to your account.
