Once, an art dealer from Monaco who joined our walking tour called this painting the "Mona Lisa of Prague." (In fact, she told us that, in her opinion, it's better than the Mona Lisa, but shhhh 🤫)

The Feast of the Rosary is a Renaissance painting by Albrecht Dürer, and you can find it in the Schwarzenberg Palace next to Prague Castle.

In the painting, you can see Mary blessing Emperor Maximilian I, and in the background, the self-portrait of the artist himself.

Prague City Tourism nedávno zahájilo novou kampaň, jejíž součástí je sdělení všem turistům, kteří přilétají do Prahy, aby si dávali pozor na podvodníky s červeným deštníkem, a že oficiální průvodce v Praze mohou najít na Staroměstské radnici.

Naše firma používá jako poznávací znamení na místech srazu průvodce s turisty červené deštníky. Jsme snad MY těmi podvodníky. Chtěli bychom důrazně protestovat proti volbě slov a vůbec způsobu propagace Prahy PCT.

Sdělení Prague City Tourism „dávejte si pozor na podvodníky s červenými deštníky“ ohrožuje existenci naší společnosti a našich kvalitních průvodců, kteří s hrdostí představují pražské památky a klíčové milníky české historie turistům z celého světa již téměř 5 let.

Rádi bychom zdůraznili, že všichni naši průvodci jsou vybaveni Národním průkazem průvodce a registrováni na webu Ministerstva pro místní rozvoj. Přibližně polovina našich průvodců složila zkoušky Průvodce cestovního ruchu nebo Průvodce Prahou přímo u Prague City Tourism. Nerozumíme proto, jak je možné, že v této nové kampani PCT tvrdí, že oficiální průvodce Prahou lze objednat pouze na Staroměstské radnici.

Žádáme Prague City Tourism o rychlou nápravu a stažení těchto nepravdivých informací z jejich webu a letištních obrazovek.

Prague City Tourism recently launched a new campaign, part of which involves informing all tourists arriving in Prague to watch out for "scammers with red umbrellas" and that official guides in Prague can be found at the Old Town Hall.

Our company uses red umbrellas as a recognizable sign for meeting points between guides and tourists. Are WE supposed to be those scammers? We strongly protest against the choice of words and the overall approach to promoting Prague by PCT.

The message from Prague City Tourism, "watch out for scammers with red umbrellas," threatens the existence of our company and our professional guides, who have been proudly presenting Prague's landmarks and key milestones of Czech history to tourists from around the world for nearly five years.

We would like to emphasize that all our guides hold a National Guide ID and are registered on the Ministry of Regional Development’s website. Approximately half of our guides have passed the Tourism Guide or Prague Guide exams directly through Prague City Tourism. Therefore, we fail to understand how PCT can claim in this new campaign that official Prague guides can only be booked at the Old Town Hall.

We request Prague City Tourism to promptly correct this misinformation and remove these false claims from their website and airport screens.

I did it again 😁 !! The Klánovice Trail Half Marathon in 1:29:49 !!
42nd out of 771 runners.
Looks like I am aging well - the same race as last year, but 6 minutes faster 😃 !!
