I surprised my oldest nephew Calvin with a trip to Florida for his 22nd birthday!!! I’m so proud of him and he deserves a vacation. This is his first ✈️ trip as well so I’m excited to experience this with him. I booked an Airbnb for 5 days and thankfully I was able to apply some travel funds to those flights!!

Trip:
•We’re staying 9 minutes from Fort Lauderdale Beach which I 💛
•It’s less of a party vibe and more family friendly. •Miami and South Beach is the distance from Baltimore to DC so it’s nothing to hit the Highway. I do it every time
•I truly enjoy searching for unique and cozy places to stay, rather than stay in hotels these days honestly, so I often rent Airbnb properties. However, I do have a few favorite hotels that I hope to share!
Dips:
•I caught a good deal with Southwest paying $69 one way each. The catch to my flights was that it’s an earlybird flight at 6am. Which doesn’t even hinder us because those boys are usually up playing video games all night and my body doesn’t allow me past 5:30 am most of the time. So getting to the airport at 4am is nothing That gives us the full day to celebrate him on his birthday. He can sleep the next day!
• I went with the $99 return flight so we could enjoy the full day and because I have travel funds, my flight was free!! Also, I chose to drive to Atlanta to fly because my airport in South Carolina is small and I would have had to layover 3 hours there anyway so a 2 hours road trip is cool with me
•Back to me loving Airbnb rentals, I can cook our food rather than spend money and risk getting COVID. And you better believe I packed my food stamp card!! Let’s get into balling on a budget hunnie!!
• I love that the place came with a pool so Eddie can splash away wherever he wants
Tips:
• I’m so glad I started taking how to pack my belongings seriously. I swear I was a hot mess, not coordinating outfits 🥴😫 and Forgetting Necessities 🤦🏾♀️ caused me a lot of unnecessary money on trips. With all that being said, I found this cute carry-on luggage piece with an USB charger port and a combination lock that TSA has an universal key to, so don’t try to sneak anything in your luggage ‼️
• One of the worse feelings is realizing you have no change to pay the parking meters and no one has any change to spare and I know South Beach meters be like 30 seconds for like $2.00😭 I will hit the honey pot for a couple of dollars in quarters to relieve that devastating blow.
That’s all I have for now, I’m sure I’m forgetting something but I am, I’m give y’all an update lol. I have until tomorrow to get it together.
