These are all the reasons why I haven’t hosted much food tours lately:
- Paris in August is always dead 💩
- The weather has been awful until today ⛈
- I am opening a shop called 🍾
- See you there in September 👋

“Meet the foodies of the Latin quarter” on is online and ready to book!

My new tour of Paris’ oldest streets and modern food entrepreneurs was validated by my colleague today!
We had the best chocolates at and iced coffee at but we also included our favorite bars and coworking places for a real local insight...

Paris is back to life so don’t miss out and always support small businesses when traveling!

So happy to discover new places in the Latin Quarter !

This bookstore café just opened as Paris is under its third lock down.
This time, book stores are allowed to be open and take away coffees and snacks are the only way for hospitality business to function.
librairiecafe is perfectly located, just a few steps down the beautiful Sainte Genevieve church, in the neighborhood that was sadly becoming more famous for its cheap beers and kebabs than for its small bookstores or architectural beauty.

All the travelers that went on the Saint Germain Food Tour with me already know how much I was concerned about the lack of independent businesses in the touristy left bank.

As I am going to be opening my shop in the same district than these guys, we can already imagine a new promenade through the best fooding spots of the latin quarter.

How do you feel about a nice cup of coffee and a piece of home made cake, reading poetry and facing this beautiful scenery ?

Chocking news ? Kind of predictable 😬
Parisians weren’t eating enough macarons to save this brand so let’s go to the essentials now !
Jean Paul Hevin macarons are way better !

Our favorite salon de thé has reopened to serve delicious hot chocolates and macarons but also savory meals, inspired by Russian cuisine such as pirojki, blinis, koulibiak and cabbage soup to keep you warm as Paris expects some snow today...

Because I am opening my own shop doesn’t mean I am not a foodie tour guide anymore. Once opens, I will make sure you guys know where to get the best stuff out of the city. Anyway, it’s obvious that I will never be able to compete with pastries and chocolates... 😛

So glad that such a cool map was edited.

It shows all the places in Paris that have an impact on the environment and/or on the community.

PariSolidari-Thé also organizes tours and treasure hunts on that same thematic so you can discover the city with the filter of solidarity

Preorder your birthday gifts for years today by choosing the services of my future business Épicerie Dujour

I made a little document (in French) to explain what each gift is about. Ask me if you need a translation

Some of the presents can be sent to your home if you don't think you will be coming to Paris in less than 5 years.

Link for the crowdfunding page :

My thoughts on the situation in Paris now, it feels good to be able to write things down but my english is getting worst now I don't use it anymore.
If there are still tourists out there feel free to reach out, I am starting to miss my old job and I feel bad that is ruining our reputation when I was fighting so hard to show the real Paris.

When a lot of businesses are going down, I find it interesting to see the resilience of some places

New job! After all that’s happening with the tourism industry I felt like I needed a more stable job. I am now working as an “épicière”, in a shop like our grandparents used to go to. These independant shops are very popular in Paris so people don’t have to go to chains supermarkets if they care about what they eat. Locally grown, seasonal and crafted products are becoming a standard again and that’s great :) Come say hi next time you are in Paris!

Ready to walk around Paris empty streets with a mask on? It can get more tricky when having to stop for food tastings, as if it was not complicated enough for some to eat in the middle of the street... Today, I will be giving my first and last food tour of this summer season before going on a holiday on the Atlantic coast and starting a new job next September!

A small selection of cool spots to check out and things to do for the bravest travelers who are still visiting Paris in August, before the second wave kicks.

Personally, I will be leaving for two weeks as I have no bookings for my tours and I am starting a new job in September.

I still wanted to support those businesses that are going to stay open when the city is dead and everyone is freaking out.

https://www.funfrenchfoodie.com/post/what-to-do-in-paris-in-august

As a visitor, you might be worried to see all those closed shops, saying they will be back in September.

Japanese food is really one of my favorite, I got so hungry writing this article, all I want to do is eat now.
Hope that you will enjoy my selection :)

Did you know that Parisians were crazy about Japanese food? First it was for sushi, and thousands of sushi places opened all around the country. Unfortunately, most of those restaurants are not authentic so always make sure it's Japanese owned before trying them, unless you like crapy food. To help....

Just got back to Paris after exploring new horizons, visiting Tours and Amboise cities in the Loire valley region. That whole area is beautiful, full of medieval castles, great restaurants, small wineries and micro breweries! Now the covid situation put everything down to zero, I am starting to plan my future out of Paris to find some balance and feel part of a community.

Did you know that Paris was the capital of healthy food? No? Because it's not.
It was hard to list more than three vegan restaurants and two gluten free bakeries but the ones picked for this articles are actually good, even for non vegan people.
If you are vegan and want to spend some time in Paris, you might just eat at the same restaurant everyday, just like Nathalie Portman does.

Believe it or not, some French people also have food intolerances or prefer to let animals live rather than becoming a steak. Vegetarian restaurants have become popular in France in the 80s, copying the American model of healthy lifestyle combining yoga, leggings and tofu. Some of these restaurants....

was one of my favorite stops on my food tours. Elegant decoration, delicious lunches, pastries and hot chocolate... Unfortunately, independent businesses like this one are getting rare, leaving us Parisians and even more, the tourists, no other choice than mediocre chains cafés and robot service. Next time you come to Paris, try as much as possible to support the small, passionate owned, original PARISIAN businesses.

I always had a thing for boulangeries, my dream as a kid was to become a baker or a hairdresser... who knows what my destiny is, now I can't be a tour guide anymore!

This is a list of my favorite places for bread and baked goods in Paris.

I believe that patisseries deserve another article, but I can't even list three pastry shops that I really like because I can't afford trying them all... you gotta believe what is on Instagram nowadays...

Parisians are lucky enough to still be able to walk a few minutes from home to grab a fresh and crispy baguette. This cliché is real, we do still love our bread but the current trend is not the crunchy white baguette but the sourdough everything.
