Another review from the mountains of Georgia. Thanks for the kind words, Tricia Kreis. We can't wait to see you next year, too!!
After a long day of writing on day 3, we enjoyed a movie night. Then woke up to a bright and crisp day to continue our productivity. Our excursion on day four brought us to Blue Ridge for some meandering and a nice dinner at Harvest On Main. Our writers left on day 5 after our "not goodbye breakfast" created by our amazing personal chef Tintswalo Catering. This group was inspiring and connected and found some special friendships among their kindred souls. There were so many laughs and a lot of words written. Until next year, Blue Ridge! #writerslife #writingretreat #writingcommunity #writeaway #amwriting #writersretreats #writersinthewild #authorcommunity
Woke up on day three to the perfect writing weather! It might be the only trip you go on when you’re actually happy to be stuck inside. Productivity win for the participants of the Blue Ridge Writing Retreat. #writingretreat #writingretreats #notlazydays #productivityforthewin #writersinthewild #writingcommunity #authorcommunity
A very full day two of the Blue Ridge Writing Retreat. Tintswalo Catering created the best breakfast bar and packed us lunches for our hike (all two miles) on the Appalachian Trail which has the southernmost start in Ellijay, GA. We managed to get many hours of writing in and finished off the night with s’mores and hot tub. Looks like rain tomorrow… perfect for a full day of writing! #writingretreat #writingretreats #authorcommunity #helentakesnotes #beckytellsgreatstories
We welcomed 10 writers to this gorgeous lakeside retreat. @chef_sha_tintswalo came with her hibachi stove and her amazing crew to pamper us with specialty cocktails for our welcome happy hour and delicious stir fry. Some of us topped off the night in the hot tub. Getting ready to get busy writing tomorrow! #writingretreat #writerretreat #newwriterfriends2024 #blueridgegeorgia #writersinthewild #lakesideretreat #authorsofinstagram
We love to see the fruit of the labor from our retreats. This is the first book published that was worked on during the 2023 Blue Ridge writing retreat. Three of the “writer hikers” (the group who inspired Writers in the Wild) attended the book launch. It’s such a great book. Go get a copy!! Congrats to the talented Sheila Athens (You were missed Tammy Harrow)
