The Swallow’s Nest, A sweet country getaway

Set between the quaint villages of Cambridge and Greenwich, 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs, NY (S**C and the Saratoga Racetrack) and Bennington, VT, this cozy, secluded, studio apartment is set on 100 acres of enchanting country gardens and pastoral farmland. The light, airy, loft-style space has an open floor-plan including a private kitchen with working vintage stove, private bathroom, and king sized bed. This beautiful area has inspired artists and photographers for decades. You will find a lot here to inspire you

This entire property was designed by our father, a local architect. Our mother was a well-known landscape artist (Virginia McNeice). The Swallow's Nest is connected to the amazing post and beam Garden House, which sleeps up to 8 guests and is a lovely setting for weddings and other special events.

Your apartment is set apart by a little bridge from the large deck. Drink your tea and read a book on the deck while enjoying birdsong and flowers. Nearby, you can explore local antique shops, farm stands, bookstores, local artisans, breweries. Start your Sunday morning with fresh donuts from the Donut Wagon and then stroll through the farmer's market, then visit the Valley Artisan's Market for a hand-made gift to remember your stay. Local events include the Washington County Fair in August, the Tour of the Battenkill in May and the Annual Cambridge Balloon Festival in June.
