The moment that makes my heart swell every time I think about it is sitting beside Sam and seeing everyone we love together in one special room.

Alright sentimental stuff aside and now for some fun facts…

Sleepless in Seattle was filmed in the same venue. One of my all time favs. Tom Hanks was also “Sam” in the movie. 🎥

My dad calls Sam, Shirtless in Seattle.

My niece was asleep for (almost) the entire wedding.

My bouquet was inspired by my Grandmas bouquet on her wedding day.

Sam’s speech was literally 20 min long. My mom recorded the entire thing. DM for a copy. 🎤

The cougs won that day.

Sam and I were nervous at different times. I was slightly concerned he didn’t cry when he saw me. 🚩

Joe is considering a new career path after becoming ordained in WA 👏🏻

Somewhere over the rainbow (instrumental) was the processional song because, dreams really do come true 🌈

Don’t get a super high slit in your wedding dress because your hoo-ha will show 👀

Pregnant Courtney danced so hard, baby had re-positioned 🤰

I’ve never seen a bunch of fraternity guys love to dance together so much and we’re so good at it! 🕺

Sam tried to feed himself first when we cut the cake together 🫨 wtf

Grandma Lil threw back some champagne after signing our marriage license 🥂

And I would literally do it all over again (with Sam of course) 💒

It took me a few days to figure out Rorbuer translates to fishing hut 🛖 😅 Everywhere in you’ll see “Rorbuer” as signs for places to stay, just like this cute one here!

The significance of the red color in Scandinavia once meant you were from wealth. A lot of the rorbuer are built right over the water with the ocean lapping beneath your feet.

Have you been to Arizona? There’s a girl out there with brown eyes and Her body is warmer than the sun… But that was some time ago, and those Arizona skies were as blue as I when we said goodbye. Oh, but the nights with her were higher than the moon could ever rise. I know she’s Arizona because I kissed the Superstitions on her lips, I ran my fingers along her sandstone skin, and I got turned around in her unforgiving canyons… I was lost in Arizona Her hands are made of Terracotta clay and Her blood is the color of Turquoise. I wanted her more than the rain on an August day. I wandered her desert and I never saw the coyotes at dusk, but I heard her howls for life. Along those open highways I saw her as the wildflowers stretching for miles and miles in the parched terrain. Free, she’s so free… Monsoons swept the valley, but sleeping with her was the cracking of a thunderstorm splitting the night. Wild, she’s so wild… I was falling for Arizona I know she lets her golden hair fly like wheat in the wind. I know she’s travelled to me but she belongs in the mountains instead. Her heart is made of copper but she’s softer than gold. She’ll smile at you like you’re the one. Her laugh is larger than the Grand Canyon. Her touch is a heat wave leaving you undone. Shes a walking vortex, the stacking of stones, a sunset you thought you’d see again. Whenever I hear of Arizona, she’s all I think about. She must be the only Arizona that exists. There’s a woman out there I knew once, but she’s a feather in the wind. And she’s somewhere in the West wearing the sun on her skin.
